Wow, did you guys see the T-mac in Korea Day 2 on NBA.com Love seeing him do those dunks again. They respected him so much.
He looks about 10-15lbs heavier. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because Kobe put on some weight several years back and it did him good. 6'8" 220/225 is good weight.
Just let me do it in say 15 minutes as I have to go for my lunch........ In summary: When asked about his assessment on his 2 new team mates, Shane Battier and Vassalis Spanoulis, acquired over the summer, he said he thought Rockets had done a magnificent job in the offseason. He thought Shane Battier is a very clever player, not only good in defense, but also reliable on his long range shots. He believed that once he or Yao Ming being double-teamed, Battier can step up from the exterior to share their load. He thought the influx of Battier + Spanoulis can hlep he and Yao Ming to avoid injury, and stay healthy to lead the Rockets to complete the full season. He firmly believed that the Rockets will be a serious contender this season. When asked whether he has gained weight and is on a diet program, TMAC admitted he has gained weight, and alot of fat due to not sufficient games/exercise and his back spasm. But he has resumed his rehabilitation training with his personal trainer, and he will turn those fat into muscle and to be back to competitive shape and form before the new season begins. When asked on how many games he plans to play for the next season, and are there any room for improvement in his game, he said no NBA players can answer this question, as accidents, family/personal matters, injuries can prevent players playing a complete season. He said he will strive to play as many games as he possibly can. As to room for improvement, he said there is no perfect player in the world, as for himself, he will keep working on his defense and block shots. When asked about whether he helped his team in the last strike to win in his baseball charity game, and how Mutombo was playing, he said he did helped his team to win with his last strike; he said, just like any other games, he hates failure and he wants to win so as not to disappoint expectations of friends and fans. As to Mutombo, he teased Deke for knowing nothing about the game of baseball. When asked who he will choose amongst Mutombo, Shaquille O'Neal and Yao Ming as his team mate, if he is to organize a baseball team, he said definitely he will give up Mutombo; Shaq is too big, heavy and slow. He would pick Yao Ming, as he thinks Yoa Ming is very clever, very nimble, very genial and cordial to work with. When asked whether he will choose to become a professional baseball player when he retires, he said maybe, after all it is his life long dream. When asked about his wedding plan in September, and whether he will use his private jet to transport his in-laws and relatives, he said Clarenda Harris and he should have married long time ago. They have 1 son and 1 daughter now, and Clarenda is a great mother. He said the wedding has been planned beginning of the year, and he will use his Falcon 2000 jet to transport his in-laws and relatives to the wedding location. When asked whether he was proud to be the first NBA player to have his own private jet, and how much it cost, he said he did not feel proud to own a jet; after all, having a private jet brings alot of convenience to the daily life, and shorten the distance between places. He refused to disclose the price tag of his jet, but said of course it was expensive. When asked whether he has followed the USA national team in the World Championship and whether he will play for USA in 2008 Olympics, he said he has been too busy to watch the World Championship. He trusted in the overall strength of the USA team, and thought they will bring the championship back. As to 2008 Olympics, he said 2 years is too far away now as anything could happen in the future 2 years. All his current focus is how to lead the Rockets for a breakthrough. When asked whether he likes Chinese cusine, and whether he knows how to use chopsticks, he said everytime he went to Yao's Restaurant & Bar, Yao Ming would teach him how to use chopsticks; but up till now, he still does not know how to manage chopsticks. He said if Yao Ming persists in teaching him, he will try his best to learn; after all, he does not think he is a dumb person.

Tracy McGrady's last public apperance yesterday afternoon in the Adidas Asia Street Ball Challenge Final in Guangzhou. He acted as judge for the dunking competition; he demonstrated dunks for the audience; he also picked his team mates from Special Education College of the Beijing Union Univeristy, and played some scrimmage against the champion team from Guangzhou, who beat a team from Philippines.
t-mac's definitely got some moon face going on but i'm not concerned about him dropping the fat by the time training camp gets here. he'll be fine. on the other hand, his arms are the absolute biggest i've ever seen them at. hopefully that's a good thing but it doesn't seem to me that adding muscle would be that big of an advantage for him, and certainly not at the expense of speed. i thought the year after kobe bulked up he slimmed back down because he didn't like his game as much? t-mac is a freak because he's unbelievably quick and athletic for a man of his size. he knows his body better than I obviously but i'd love to see him slim down some.
nice pics great to see t-mac smiling it seems as if he is genuinely happy there were soo many frustrations for him this past season. You can tell when someone is truly happy or if its a "fake" happiness. With his pending marriage next month his personal life looks to be at a high which will no doubt help his performance on the court
Sorry havent updated the thread T-mac posted twice once yesterday and today but I think nba.com put them both up at once because I didnt see yesterday's post up when I checked. A side personal note: 2000 posts! WOOO-HOOO!!
I tried to catch a glimpse of Tracy McGrady here in the Philippines. Went to the Glorietta mall (with my brother who brought a digital camera) but damn! So many people crowding around the Adidas store near the Landmark grocery store. T-Mac just walked from the Makati Shangri-La to the Mall ( and walked straight to the store ). I should been at the store when the store opened 10am. Arrived there 11:05am. T-Mac spent 20 minutes at store, then returned to the hotel. I work the night shift at Safeway Philtech, so I thought I would get a chance to see T-Mac. I was wearing a Hakeem Olajuwon t-shirt. I should have just slept.
Pyruen you have a badass Job. I don't know what you do but it seems like you get all the inside scoops on everything that has to do with rockets.
Because Rockets is so d@mn hot in China/Asia! Just like Jordan's Bulls. I wish I can help pryuen to do some translation but there is no way I can match his work, not to mention his enthusiasm.
I loved the Day 4 video on NBA.com. T-Mac was wording a song and later on he was talking on the camera to his kids about how how he misses them and can't wait to get home to read bedtime stories and do the fun things they do. Seems like a nice guy with a good family orientation.
