This is one of the things that makes Clutchfans so special. It's not just the best place to discuss the NBA. The variety and quality insights given here by so many members (even when I don't agree with them) on global issues is fantastic.
Eating durian is an acquired taste. You would love it once you get pass the smell. "Taste like heaven, smell like hell"
So where are thacabbage and tigermission1? How do they explain this? Can they justify it? Is that all the West's fault?
thacabbage is the poster that claims every problem with Islamic extremism has its roots in the West, and is just a reaction to hegemonization by "the evil West" and "evil Israel". I want to see him apply this logic to this situation in Malaysia.
I agree, especially on issues brought up by swhwong. But things are changing in the form of forums and blogs which the Malay community also participated. It's refreshing to know that not all agree with issues such as the Malaysian New Economic Policy or Khairy's antics. I empathize with Lina Joy, especially when I have religious freedom coming from a state where 95% of the population are muslims.
Actually I've known quite many that have left for better jobs, schools for children, quality of life, or if they have the means to do so. It's happening in many countries too, not just Malaysia. Singapore is also gunning for more foreign talents, as emphasized by their PM's speech during national day. If only Malaysia's politicians start to focus on becoming more competitive globally than squabbling over ethnic issues.
