Team USA wins another 40 points game. It's getting boring. I think Argentina is the only team which may be able to make the game competitive against these guys. :)

Yeah I remember this too. He talked about the other aussie NBA player(s) in a rather disrespectful way.

Now we get to read another article about how Team USA celebrates too much or almost blew the game or something along those lines.

all he said, and even this was taken out of context, is that he was more of a versatile player than previous Aussie big men to play in the NBA (Longley and Anstey). Not a big deal.

Well, if you describe Yao Ming with your first sentence, then YES. At 26 years old, Yao Ming is already one of the oldest players in his team.

As for Australia, young and inexperienced ?? Inexperienced, maybe.... Young ?? You've to be kidding.

Please check the Australian Roster ........pleeeeeeeeeease.....a bunch of 30+ years old players.

I think Spain will be a much tougher opponent then Argentina.

you need to have another look at the roster I think champ...

Mckinnon, Bruton and Smith are the only 30 year olds.

Newley , Kendall , Bogut , Worthington , Kickert and Bruce all in there low 20's.

Bloody oath. Whatever it is, this is the USA team they are playing with and the result is expected but 40 pts. I thought Australia can do better because they basically dominated China minus Yao. China lost by, if I'm right, 30pts. :(

i think what inexperince means in this context is international baskeball. nearly all of our players havent played any meaningful international basketball. youth is just another way we're inexperienced...

boomers werent really given a huge chance to make it out of the group stage, i think we did better than expected. especially considering how awesome our coach is ;)

Shane's spot-up 3 looked extremely impressive, especially along the baseline. Yao's been absolutely dominating. I can already see the chemistry these two are gonna have. Damn, i can't wait till the season starts.

this is what i wanna see next season:

    yao - 28/11/5/2
    tmac - 25/6/7
    shane - 15 all 3s
    skip - 10/3/10/2st
snyder - 2 von wafers, one on gay and one on swift followed by a bird sign.
    hayes- 2/20/2

hou vs dallas western conference finals
chi vs detroit eastern conference finals

IMO, I think McGrady PPG will be higher than Yao. McGrady will still be Rockets top scorer.

This is Battier's 4th game with 0 rebounds. Everything else about him (shooting, intangibles, defense at the wing and PF) has been excellent.

Actually how is Australia Professional Basketball league looks like? I think it is the highest level in the region, Asia included, am I right?

I also heard that one Singapore bball team is going to play in Australia league as well, how is that happened?

You are correct on both counts.

The NBL here is very competitive, and would be even more benefited even further by more general public support, which it's constantly struggling for (and struggling badly behind Australian Rules Football, Rugby, Cricket, and others).

The league is branching out into other destinations outside mainland Australia in order to try and increase it's marketing appeal.

There is a team now based in New Zealand, and as you stated a team starting this coming season to Singapore, which will prove to be a hell of a road trip for opposition sides.

It is the same for China. That is why Yao Ming kept reiterating that in order for the Chinese players to improve, they need to play more competitive games at the highest order, and not just confined to their domestic CBA league.

In fact, FIBA has been kind already to Australia and New Zealand in offering 2 slots for the Oceania Group.....and Australia and New Zealand just automatically qualified.

I guess FIBA should copy what FIFA did.....group Australia and New Zealand into Asia, and increase the Asia slot to 4 .......Then maybe basketball in the region can improve.
