Lol, the win is referring to China vs. Slovenia.

I had put my money on CNT when they play against Slovenia. The odds was 3.95. I will put half of it on CNT next game. :p

I'm pretty sure the 2P statistics are messed up, I've noticed a lot of discrepancies and errors during the games and of course it's ridiculous for any team to have such a percentage on 2p shooting on such a level of competition. Even the original "dream team" had "just" 58% on 2p shooting. There's no way any team can shoot 90% or 85% on 2p attempts, not even in 1 game :p

Ah, I've discovered the mistake, what they write as FGA in the page you gave is actually the 2PA. Still, Greece is 3rd with 57.9%, behind USA and Spain.

Thanks for catching the mistake. Nevertheless, the fact that Greece has shot a high percentage on 2's and a comparatively low percentage on 3's bodes well for China. China typically has forced their oponents into shooting a lower percentage in the 2-point category while getting consistently burned from long range (which makes sense with Yao/Wang/Yi in the interior). Maybe they can force Greece to play away from their strength.

I'm surprised Spanoulis was so forthcoming in his claim of superiority as it was somewhat disrespectful of an opponent. Those are fighting words that hopefully will light a flame in the CNT locker room. But it also shows VSpan's confident nature, which as a Rocket fan, I can appreciate.

i definitely agree. china usually really sucks in perimeter defense....but
the last 2 quarters against slovenia, china actually played pretty good man to man defense and perimeter defense. not that many open looks for slovenia.

Greece is a better team than Chinses National Team, but I think China also have a chance. If Yao Ming can get enough support from his teammates, impossible is nothing, and CNT will win.

have you ever looked stats of 5 games Greece have played? if not, go take a look. What I can tell you is Greece is not a 3-pointer team.

I didn't look at their game statistics. But I did watch one of their five games and I am very impressed with the pick and rolls they run along the perimeter in that game. Because of the weak exterior defense of the Chinese team, I can see their three point shooters have open looks all game long on Sunday. Sorry if you don't agree with my opinion.

    My bad :D Thanks man!

Believe me I was scratching my head when I found these data and there were no way this can be real, but just didn't even think of the FGA should be 2FGA.

I suspect he won't slide as far as Shane battier did when he took a charge from Yao. But if he does take a charge, I won't be surprised if the ref trips over his body. Also he might get one or two bones, preferably in the leg.

I put money on the spread at china +13, but one of my friends put money on china to win at 7 to 1. there is certainly value playing china.

So after a 1 day off recovering himself with medical therapy/massage, Yao Ming joined the national team's 2nd team practice in Saitama last evening (August 26 Saturday) in preparation for their decider game against Greece tonight.

thanks...gonna check it out. I tried PPlive, but the streaming for cctv5 is unbelievably slow. A lot of the other channels seem to work fine though.
