Gas prices have been falling in Houston the last week or so...

Which is good with the holiday weekend coming up....

I saw $2.65 today.. anyone see anything much cheaper than that in Houston yet this week?

anyone gone to www.houstongasprices.com or even www.gasbuddy.com shows all the lowest prices around town.

Cheapest in Houston is a Coastal which is $2.47

You can search by zipcode to find one around you.

As for that $2.80 price in Galveston/Texas City, there are a three price gouging mofos on Harborside Drive in Galveston right before turning onto the causeway that are always 10-15 cents higher than the average, so they're probably driving up the average. Xerobull can back me up on that one. :)

Does it really matter, though? Next summer, prices will go to $3.10, then they'll fall back to $2.90, then back up to $3.15, then back to $3.00.

One step forward, two steps back.

That's the idea. We are being assimilated to believe that $2.65 is cheap.

because there's less demand. summer vacations increase gas demand....and prices are usually at their highest during the summer months.

What were the prices near the end of last August (before Katrina hit)?

I'm not saying $2.65 is cheap, but at least you will be paying less than you were a couple weeks ago!

I paid $2.59 this morning at RaceTrac on 249. Its better than paying 2.89 but I still wish it would drop another dollar.
