I am and I'm loving it! I started my Rad. Tech. school on Monday, and for once, I actually like school. I just can't wait to get this thing in full force. They say we should be able to do chest x-rays by ourselves by the end of September or early October, so I can't wait. Another big day is November 27th, and actually that whole week, when I get to do my clinical work up in the Operating Room with the mobile x-ray machine. I'm SO pumped for that one. The good thing is that the whole thing will be over in two years. After that, I'll get my associate's (I might not need any more classes, but I could need 2 or 3), and then I think I'll go for my bachelor's online, although I probably won't need it too much. Alright, so are you back in school yet? If not, when do you go back? If you are, how are you liking it? What is your major, and what do you want to do with your life? Also, where do you go?
I graduated from Texas State in May. I know they started back Yesterday (Wednesday). I'm actually starting to miss it.
Start this Saturday. I am glad you are excited about school. I am taking one of those ETS tests on September 15th. I wish school can just push back for a month so I can have more time to prepare.
School started Monday for me too (Missouri). It's graduate classes (journalism), so not having any tests is something very unique to me. And the 2500-3500 word narrative I have to write later in the semester for one of my classes seems a little scary. Other than the workload, which requires soooo much reading, I actually like it a lot. In undergraduate classes, I would stare at the clock and/or my cell phone and essentially count the minutes... everything the professors said was so obvious and I didn't really need to study until the day before the test anyway. Here, the discussions are actually insightful and make me want to pay attention and not merely count the minutes. I actually have the feel that I'm learning instead of just memorizing random facts that I'll forget a couple of weeks later just to make a good grade. So I'm in the same boat as you, Eddie... I'm stunningly having a good time. So far. My TA is working for the city newspaper here... but fortunately there is some downtime (like right now, haha) for me to log onto the BBS and still have fun. I'm waiting for the AP to finish their story for the Royals game so I can put it on the page... so what better to do than come here?
Tomorrow is the last day of my internship, and I start class again next Wednesday. Bye-bye Houston... Hello Austin.
Leaving for Austin on Saturday The start of my senior year, it seems just yesterday that i was a freshman moving in to the dorms... good times
My youngest daughter started Kindergarten this morning. My oldest, a son, is enjoying his first Fall out of school-- having graduated college.
Spread 'em out a little, right? I'm "going to" two different schools. I'm taking a VB class at Lamar State College-Orange, and that starts on Tuesday. I'm starting a Masters in Control Systems Engineering from Oklahoma State (all correspondence), and that officially started Monday, but they are mailing out the first of the materials today.
I start on monday and this is my college return after 9 years off. I am a little nervous about going back but I am much more prepared to make good grades now. And Eddie I am hoping to get some classes out of the way and then apply to get into the radiology tech program at my college.
I've been in school over a month and a hlaf already. I started an evening MBA July 5th. It's already starting to wear on me. It'd be awesome if I was a daytime student and didn't also work, but as it is, it's getting old.
