the show seems a little forced right now. davies turned me off yesterday wanting to talk cowboy football, "i heard it was a few cowboy fans in this neck of the woods" someone needs to give him a little talking to.
i listened a bit, too. "forced" is a good choice of words, pgabriel. i assume they'll get better and more relaxed with time.
They are trying to sound like the Mike and Mike or whatever. The New York guy yelling 1000 mph sucks. SLOW DOWN. CHILL OUT. TAKE A XANAX. That **** don't fly in Texas. I liked Carl Dukes when he was kind of mellow in the afternoon. And please stop with the "you're a man, so you like to grill" hahahahahaha. Samuel L Jackson is cool. Women like to go shopping. blah blah blah. <--- Disappointed.
That pissed me off as well. There is a small minority of Cowboy fans in the Houston area and Houston fans dispise them. Cowboy football is not something we want to discuss.
The little bit I've heard has been awfully bad. That said, I've never enjoyed Carl Dukes one bit, so I guess it's just not for me.
talk about not knowing your audience Carl should have been giving ole boy the Throat Slash signal NNNNNOOOOOOOOOO Rocket River
All I'm saying is I was looking at some portable XM recievers at Best Buy yesterday while grabbing Madden. EVan
i have sirius radio in my jeep. i have a family member who is on the radio locally, so i usually listen to him some and listen to 610. other than that, it's pretty much CD's and satellite radio. there's a station on Sirius called The Coffeehouse which is usually acoustic, live performance stuff...that and the Traditional Jazz channel are great.

My initial impression is that they bring ample energy, enthusiasm and volume to their task and that their show will be sufficiently different in tone and format from the KILT (610 AM) morning show that listeners will have a clear choice. Two quibbles, though: I question whether enough people will be sufficiently awake early in the morning to grasp the nuances of their daily Two-Minute Drill game. I listened to a replay of one show in the middle of the afternoon, and I had trouble grasping the rules. Also, I have high hopes that cast member Maggie eventually will expand her repertoire beyond daily on-air flirting with Milo Hamilton.
