for anyone that did the audition last year...could you set the stage please? i'm curious what the environment would be like and how exactly the audition goes
They didn't have an audition last year, they just had reduced tickets prices for a few games, namely the late season game vs. Golden State
I've had a bad week, but regardless, I'm ready to roll... Whether I get picked or not, The Rockets have finally made a step in the right direction to liven up the atmosphere... This WILL work because 30 fans alone from Clutchfans would make a difference as it did last year Vs. Golden State. Any bars open @ 8am so we can meet up and get "ready"!?
Prolly no bars, but some of us are going to be meeting outside the LaBranch entrance at 8 a.m. to get the ball rolling. Roll call? I will be there and will be difficult to miss in the getup I will be sporting.
They didn't have an audition last year, they just had reduced tickets prices for a few games, namely the late season game vs. Golden State i thought the rockets did something like a fanatic section for one game...maybe SR610 did it but there were auditions before the game. or have i gone mad?
they should have auditions at night, that way it'll give us some time to get a few drinks in, i can be pretty "rowdy" after several beers. seriously though...the rockets experience is lacking energy. no matter how many tickets they sell it just seems kinda weak, as if everyone is too shy to be excited. this will help the players giving them a little more energy.
I'm in as well, make sure you print out the registration form and release form and fill it out tonight. Find them here: http://www.nba.com/rockets/fans/Casting_Call_for_Red_Rowdies-187801-822.html Let's get us some season tickets
Did anyone here in the Clutchfans posse win you some season tickets? I know Andymoon represented for sure...
I won tickets. Just got home and cleaned up my red latex. (note to sell, don't put latex on your eye brows.) I think Andy and I may have been the only CF.net representatives.
Give some details? How many people turned out? What was it like? Were most of the winners CF.net members?? Details, man, details!!
I think Andy and I were the only CF.netters there. If there were others, we didn't know about them. It WAS FREAKING NUTS!!!! I've only yelled louder once in my life. And I can tell you that there wouldn't be anything more entertaining than watching these tryouts. Full grown adults making COMPLETE idiots out of themselves. The amazing part was there were 60 people there tops. Some people didn't even bother to wear anything red. So if you showed up and demonstrated ANY effort then you were a lock to get tickets.
I was there but did not get a good 30 seconds in I guess, felt super rushed and dropped 50% of the ideas I had original come up with because I knew I would go over by a good minute. I was wearing the khaki Rockets cap + red sport shirt (UH embroidery). -I brought up the fact that JVG gave the Clutchfans Rocket "Rowdies" big time props for having a impact in that Golden State game last year and I screamed for croud participation on the overused DEFENSE chant but I did it cause that is my specialty... I had other creative ideas and reasons why I probably would be a good selection, blah blah blah... (keep it simple stupid was my philosophy for the half minute gameplan after I watched the first 20 folks go). Did they end up giving only the final 12 spots to the group of 20 or so folks who had to interview in Round 2 or was there some sort of deal where they gave all those remaining folks tickets as well? I just left when I did not even make the first cut
