Wow, what a horrible game. Those 2 offensive fouls called on Yao were TOTALLY bogus, and the last foul wasn't even a foul, Yao was standing still with his arms straight up. Even so China had a chance to win the game if they could secure a rebound in one of the last 2 possessions of the game. Once they went into overtime, I knew they had lost. The officiating though, BOGUS. Totally bogus. The flopping calls were horrible, and we had some blatant missed calls on our side that could have turned the game.

I also saw Arroyo being thrown on the floor with an elbow at the end of regulation - no call. Losing yao was very costly to China, bad shot selection and loosing rebounds cost them the game.

the 3 refs in that game should be suspended and send home, banned from internationl game for life, investigation should be initiated for corruption, collusion, illegal gambling or whatever that can put them in jail.

You know, Japanese might have paid referees to give Yao and CNT a hard time.

This will be off topic: Some time I wonder, how would average Americans react if German chancellor goer to worship Hitler once every year. Then you see every year Japanese prime ministor goes to worship 14 executed class A war time criminals who are responsible for tens of millions innocent lifes, including those from Pearl Harbor, and there is absolutely no reaction from this administration. WTF?

The referees would not give a call until blood came from Chinese players body.

I wish search function was on so I could determine how much the stupid Jap war shrine and Taiwan's sovreignty were mentioned in the rockets forum - I bet they have far more mentions than Alex Hannum or Mike Woodson, which they shouldn't.

Sammy, a little self-reflection goes a long way.

So wnes, why is Alex Hannum noteworthy and more appropriate to this forum?

Do you know? Can you tell me without googling? Be honest.

Don't know Alex Hannum. No desire to google to find out either.

Apparently my overly terse post lost on you. Let me rephrase then: "Sam, good to see you in a mod mode, but you should know a little self-reflection goes a long way."

Alex Hannum is a basketball HOF coach, who happened to be the first coach of the San Diego Rockets.

Alex Hannum > Japanese war shrine

OK, you still don't get it. I am not interested in talking about Japanese' "self-reflection" or whatever they'd like to call. I am saying maybe, perhaps, you want to do a little "self-examination" before deploring somebody else? You know I too wish the search function were on.
