Upgraded to what we called ADSL 2+ here in Australia, which is faster broadband.... got myself a new modem wireless Billion 7404 GO.... have it set up basically but not ideally, not sure about the set up for wireless (so have it off) and also with the firewall on, I was getting drop out every 30 seconds or so.... so turned that off installed Sygate personal firewall.... which seems to work well however now i can't use Azerus/BitTorrent.... even though i have clicked allow... can some help me out with this, i need my torrents.... also anyone good with setting up VOIP, love to get that working

It totally depends on how big the file is and how many uploaders are in the swarm. But 9 hours is not a duration that I'm accustomed to unless the file is multiple GBs in size, or if there aren't that many seeds. You might want to check a few different torrent sites to see if the file you want is avaliable with more seeders.
9 hours for that is ridiculously slow. Either there's only one of two seeds, or you need to forward your ports. I haven't needed to do that with my router/firewall, but some other guys on the board can probably give you some info on that. First check your torrent for how many seeds are on that file. If it's ten or more then most likely it's a problem with your ports. Maybe someone can jump in with help if that's the case.

It downloaded it overnight. Looking back I think the seed count was low. I'm pretty much a novice with BT.
