I havn't seen anybody bash Yao at all lately on this board. I think some posters get fustrated about some of the others thinking Yao can do no wrong. There are plenty of new posters on this board that can't take Yao critisism. I don't think anybody was bashing Yao when they say that D. Howard is a good player. People who watch the NBA know that Howard is a very young player with huge potential. Can he guard Yao 1 on 1? Probably not right now, but who really cares, its a 5 on 5 game. I love Yao and I love the Rockets, so I'm all for Yao being the best out there, but some of the Yao man love gets kinda old. While you say people need to stop 'bashing Yao', I say a few posters need to get off his jock a little bit.

I heard next year draft will be very good, Yi maybe not that high. Anyhow the chance for the Rockets to get Yi is very low, let JVG keep J Howard for a NBA title.

Yao and Shane are the prime examples of what profesional NBA players should be. They work hard, they're humble, competitive, and have Low Ego Emissions like that Volkswagon in that commercial. I think thats what I like most about them, you just respect them so much for that and they dont complain about everything. T-Mac is one of the best talents in the league, but he's just not on that level or profesionalism, but then again thats just the way he is.

But who will carry the baby to term! Something to think about. :p

A person with the quickness and leaping ability of the Dream but with the size of Yao! Can you say game set match! I think NBA will have to design whole new set rules for that person like no jumping!

charge or no charge -- who cares. just glad no one got hurt.

when going coast-to-coast, yao already has the behind the back dribble and a crossover. now all he needs is a spin move near the end and finish it off with a thunderous windmill dunk!

better yet, yao should have done a t-mac and toss it off the backboard; catch it and slam it in!

What did you expect to read? This is a Houston Rockets board. Posters here are supposed to be somewhat biased. Go to the Mavs board to see how they worship Dirk there. Take a look at how the Lakers fans talk like Kobe is the grestest thing since sliced bread on Lakersground.com. Why are you here anyway if you feel so negative about it?

I am a huge Yao fan and I completely don't understand why praising Howard is the same as bashing Yao. As far as I know Howard has never bashed Yao, unlike Dampier, and thus I don't see why he deserves hate from Yao fans. He's a fine player who has the potential to become really good.

Highlights of this China versus USA game on youtube.......

Yao Ming seems to be returning to great form now. The dunks, the long range bomber, the rebounds......................... and the passion and heart shown throughout this David vs Goliath match.
