With the double crushing of our beloved Comets, ones mind is suddenly faced with the reality that ten years of sentimentality must now draw to a conclusion and reality bring about a renewed team for our Lady Comets and possibly a fresh and up and coming coach.
i read that 54 times, and this is what i got out of it. van has been coaching for ten years, and won four championships and we are living off of those four championships. the past six years, we haven't dont squat. time to find a new coach. there, how hard was that? way to go nostradamus.
Houston was great when Cooper was around to dominate. That's not to say Chancellor and company do not deserve credit -- only that Cooper was that good. Cooper's Comets dominated like MJ's Bulls. It doesn't help, however, when Chancellor makes ridiculous trades/signings the past six years. Meanwhile, Detroit trades for Smith. There's one more player I want to give credit for the championships -- Tammy Jackson. Houston lacked Jackson's post play against Griffith and Walker. Houston needs: 1.) A veteran GM. 2.) A head coach who can design legitimate offensive and defensive schemes. And, no, it's not Capers. 3.) Youth and athleticism. 4.) Explore Swoopes' trade value.
I agree I do not pay attention to the comets but I always seethem trading first round picks for old washed up players
As successful as Chancellor has been, it is clear he squandered so much to continue surrounding Swoopes and Thompson with mediocre veteran talent. While other teams in the league continued to pile on depth and develop quality young players, the Comets continued to sacrifice the future to add older players in hopes it would be enough to get them to the finals again.
well, what i gathered from it was basically this.... blah blah blah blah blah women have smaller brains blah blah blah blah blah roughly translated.
Cmon guys, i know damn well that each and every one of you posting in this thread are die hard comets fans and just don't want to admit it!
