Ebi, Carroll, Washington. Bloody poachers. Ok so they were never really ours in the first place, but any excuse to bag the Mavericks.
Moan & Groan we should have signed Pat Carroll at the very least. I hope he torches the Rockets, so we can have a nice thread on how he might have been a Rocket if this team had any vision or talent evaluating ability. Even if we had signed him the Rockets don't develop their players, so he should have a better chance of becoming better playing for the Mavs.
Probably because they were signed for training camp and not for their roster. In other words, who cares, these don't matter.
If we have such a poor reputation as lacking in player development, how can the owner Les Alexander let his coaching and training staff get away with such a basic need for any form of athletics team. Does he just succumb to the hype and spin created by the staff, publicists and media, till his mind is sufficiently worry free. The Les Alexander that I know is a very sharp businessman that pays attention to every detail and is a man's man who is of clear mind and purpose. So somewhere and someone is stilll to blame for this great error in judgement. A team that goes out of its way not to develop young talent, is a team in trouble, if not now, somewhere along the line.
And all we got in the offseason via free agency is John Lucas and Kalenna Azubuike? What about our need to get more athletic? I know we acquired some other talent via draft and trade, but so did Dallas. And they have outpaced us in training camp fodder, too!
maybe we didnt sign these guys because they are TERRIBLE. they will never see the court in dallas. WHO CARES?
Dallas has one roster spot. That's four - into - one. Oh, and is there a guarantee Mavs don't acquire a 15th thru any witch (sic) way? Yawn, much ado about nada.
first off, how can a rockets fan actually hope that the rockets get torched? plus, how about these guys actually prove themselves before you start complaining. Will you start a thread admitting that you had no vision when these guys get cut? rockets dont develop players? lets see. yao. V-span. JL3 went from a nobody to getting offered contracts by multiple teams this offseason. etc etc.
How are you going to say the Rockets have developed V-span when he hasn't even seen a game in a Rockets uni?
How are you going to say the Rockets have developed V-span when he hasn't even seen a game in a Rockets uni? he has been developed..his improvements from when he was drafted is present. NOw will that make him a good nba pro? i dont know. But the fact that he was even offered a contract does show some advancement in his game.
Couldn't it be that Carroll had invites from both the Mavs and the Rockets, and he chose the Mavs over us?
