My god this kid scored 178 pts in a game? 22 reb and 16 steals? 67/72 2pt fg? Must be all layups or dunks. 9/14 threes is not bad either. Will he be the number one pick in 6 years?

Marin Ferecevic (born 1992.) young cadet from KK Virovitica, scored 178 points on one single game. This unbelievable match between Virovitica and ABN Graminea was played in local U14 Croatian league and final result was 187:70.

Ferencevic scored 178 points, grabbed 22 rebounds and stole 16 balls. For 3 he was shooting 9/14, for 2: 67/72 (?!) and from penalty line fantastic 17/18. In first quarter Ferencevic scored 34 pts, in second 61 pts, in third 55 pts and in fourth "only" 28 pts.

Just a month ago, Marin did similar thing when he scored 101 pts on a game. He is a son of ex basketball player Branko Ferencevic, who is also living basketball legend in Virovitica. Little Marin is playing on playmaker position even (though) he is the tallest player in the team.

It is easy to score a lot in a blow out game at that age. The fact that he scored this much, and didn't let his teammates score means that he is probably selfish, and therefor will not be a great player. I'm not that impressed.

you stole my post, arno_ed. I was going to add: The coach was then quoted "Those other selfish punks who scored the other 9 points are going to be cut."

AND, you don't need to quote the entire post, much less the FIRST post when you're the second post... :D we know you're talking to the first post... :p

He could very well be a very selfish player or it was the instruction of his coach. However, that is still very good achievement for the kid from a basketball point of view. The other team scored 70 points, so they are not a clueless bunch of kids. And scoring 70 points will take a lot of time off the clock, it is not to score 178 points as you think if you ever played any basketball.

whoa! do they maybe play like 45 minute quarters or something!

why wouldnt they just drape 4 guys on him and have the 5th guy be to his leg what Gundy was to Mourning??

you'd think going in at the half after dropping 61 in the 2nd quarter the other teams coach would have maybe thought about making someone else score a basket...

What are some of you guys talking about? . . .

The kid scored 178 points. I challenge any of you right now to go out and play a bunch blind and palsy school kids and still score 178 points. That's ridiculous. Don't hate. That's quite an incredible feat regardless.

As pirc1 said, the other team still scored 70 points. Meaning it wasn't all about stealing inbounds passes and converting layups for the entire game.

    I'm impressed.
