I just got me an ipod. I use it only to workout. The stupid headset it came with wont stay in my ear. I constantly have to mess with. Any recommendations on some headsets that actually stay in your ear and provide excellent quality sound. I'm guessing those bluetooth and other wirless headsets diminish the quality of audio between the transmission.
I have the Shure e2c, which are great sounding and stay in your ear pretty well. They loop around your ear so will more like get pulled out of the Ipod than out of your ear, if pulled on. They list for $99 but can be found for $70-80 online.
At best buy there are about 3 sets of headphones ranging from 19.99 to 29.99 that loop around your ear made by Sony if you want. I use them and love them when i work out.
I tried googling for them, but I can't find them.. so I'll have to describe. I have the same problem with my ipod (in fact, my earbuds eventually just flat out died on me, guess I was too rough with em).. so I went to Target and bought a pair of earphones from Philips. The hitch about them is they have a rubbery/plastic type horn on them that cups over the front of your ear and down the back, thus holding them in place no matter what. They're great all around headphones, but they're perfect for exercising. You'll know them when you see them.
my ipod headphones do the same thing...i bought some nike ones that clip over the ear. i like them alot.

i got one of these babies and am never going back to any other type of headphones these are the best. Just wish battery life was a bit longer I tend to go through one AAA per week. (I use them quite a bit every day though)
I think that would look so cool while working out I do have one advice, do NOT get the in ear headphones from apple, they don't stay in your ear all that great.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...2907-0062219?_encoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=172282 But those, and, unless you lose them, you'll never want to buy new headphones again.
Go to the Head-Fi forums, and do some research on IEM (in-ear monitor) headphones. After using Etymotics for years (ER-6i IEMs being the most recent), I got a pair of Altec Lansing im716 IEMs (which actually uses Etymotic technology). (My price range for headphones is like $100-$150.) They're better sounding, but they require higher volumes in order to drive them. Like the Etymotics, all outside noise is completely cut-off when using them, thus allowing me to enjoy the music. (But note: I'm not talking about noise-canceling headphones, which is a bit different.) They're particularly great on subways and planes. Other good manufacturers include Etymotic, Shure, and Ultimate Ears.
Thanks to everyone for their suggestion. I ended up getting this one. I did not want to spend $100+ on a headset right now. Because I'm pretty sure I'm going to lose them soon anyways.
Most audiophiles consider the Sennheiser HD 201 (closed headset) or the Koss KSC-75 (clip-on earbuds) to be the very best value in their pricerange ($15-25) and compare them to other sets ranging from 50-80 dollars... Since they're for workouts, try out the KSC-75s. For 11.50 at Amazon, they're a steal and a cheap way to test the hype.
The Sennheiser PX 100 is what I use with my iPod. Fantastic sound, lightweight, are cushioned, and they rest on your ears, instead of in them, or over them. They're "open" headphones. The bass is excellent, with terrific definition. I hear things in the music that I never heard with the iPod buds, which aren't too bad themselves. Mine cost about $50 bucks, and are well worth it. They fold up and fit into a plastic case, if you want to carry them onto a plane, or put them in a bag. ya those are gunna start hurting your ears pretty soon. the support starts pulling your ear and its pretty painful, especially the back of your ear...and not to mention it requires a learning curve just to put em on. id rather go for the 9.99 sony's that go on your head. only thing i dont understand is why ccity is sellin them for 10.50
These aren't bad, but Sony's quality has gone down the drain. I used mine for about a year and a half before all sorts of things started falling apart: the rubber cord housing the wires, the earloops becoming loose and not fitting properly. Definitely good sound, but you WILL have quality problems down the road.
