Why wasn't Rudy T. invited to the press conference by Hakeem?

I was just wondering if there was any tension between Hakeem and Rudy within the last two yrs. or so. I didn't hear anything about Rudy being invited to the press conference, only CD. I sure felt bad for CD after I saw him crying on national TV. What was Rudy doing, having a couple of drinks or something? With the ongoing bickering about Rudy not being able to utilize big men, this could have led to the leaving of Hakeem. But keep in mind that if he complained about Rudy not utilizing big men, he will be real disappointed with Lenny Wilkins. With all due respect to Lenny for being the all-time winningest coach, Utilizing big men in the offense is not one of his strong points, (just look at Mutombo). Hakeem will not get many touches in the offense because of Carter, Davis, and Williams. I just wonder if all of this had to do with some sort of rift between Hakeem and Rudy.

I had rift once. The doctor gave me an antibiotic and told me to keep it covered until it went away.

Rudy has talked with Hakeem on the phone. There was no need for him there. Rudy was very emotional at his press conference the other night...then again, maybe he was thinking about having to give Cato more minutes.
