WWW - Luke continues to provide that much needed POP in the lineup...too bad they waited until late July to give him that chance. DD
Huge homestand. I'm headed to a number of thegames too! Going to be my first games of the season now that I'm back in Houston. Last game I went to was Game 2 of the Braves series during the playoffs last fall. That was the most exciting thing I had ever been too, so much energy in that ball park. ( i know it won't be the same tomorow....but it'll be damn fun). I smell our first sweep in forever. Go STROS!
If we do not go 9-0, I will not wear my Astros hat for 3 days straight. Do you like apples? How do you like them apples Phil Garner?
WWW.....we need this time to make the 2nd half run!!!!!.....i predict we will leap frog about 3-4 teams on this homestand...hopefully....
Although it's true that roughly 33% of the season remains, the Astros cannot afford to have a brain fart right now. This is especially true with the Reds and the Cards kickin each in the nards. The Astros can't and won't have a brain fart. WWW
not really. they're just insignificant. a team can run off and play great baseball in the regular season, and collapse in the playoffs. a team can play just well enough to hit the playoffs, and then go on a tear. in my experience, this happens far more in baseball than any other sport. in a series, virtually any team in the league can beat any other team. that's why the season is so long...and it's why the regular season records used to determine who won the pennant.
The Astros have twice their payroll and only 11 more wins to show for it. Do me a favor & check the arrogance at the door, your team isn't much better.
