I thought a few of you might be interested in this...

My friend from Beirut started a blog titled "UnBreak Lebanon" to help promote peace & awareness, and to support an end to the violence in the Middle East. He's going to be selling t-shirts and donating 100% of the revenue to humanitarian organizations in Lebanon.

Check out the website (there's a design of the t-shirt on there) and please forward it to whomever you think might be interested: UnBreak Lebanon

Sounds cool. However, I don't believe that I (or most people) would give any donations to unspecified "humanitarian organizations" in the middle east.

Like GWB says, "Fool me — you can't get fooled again". There have been other donations meant for good causes that ended up in terrorist coffers.

What's the point of donating to the humanitarian cause when Israel isn't allowing humanitarian aid to go into the country?

I understand where you're coming from. My Lebanese friend (who goes to Duke University) told me they are planning to donate the money from t-shirt sales to the Red Cross.
