So im watching USA and there have been several commercials on AW All American Food. I'm guessing they sell Burgers, hot dogs and that kind of stuff. Its the same AW logo of the root beer soft drink. Is this restaurant new? never heard of it before. i find it weird that AW has a restaurant. Have any of you been there?

There is also one on Hammerly and the Beltway, across from the Jack in the Crack. I've never eaten there but if anyone does or has, let me know if it's any good.

Had it yesterday for the first time. Burger was ok, fries were good, and the root beer was good...they give you frosty mugs for it

I had a burger melt there a while back that was good. They have good floats too.

Best way in the world to get Root Beer. They have it in a tap and serve it in cold mugs. It tastes about 100 times better than what you get out of a regular fountain or from the store.

Other than that it's just a typical hot dog/burger joint. Not great, but not bad.

And they've been around forever and ever.

Because Yum Brands (A&W, Taco Bell, Long John Silver, Pizza Hut, & KFC) finally gave them a budget to advertise, along with the contributions of their franchisees. A & W has been around for a very long time.

    A & W history

Isn't A&W actually one of the OLDEST fast food places?

AW is one of the oldest fast food chains in existence.

They've merged with KFC's where I live, so you can get your burger and a side of mashed potatoes if it strikes your fancy.

I think A&W is like KFC, which seems to have more restaurants overseas than in the States. The only A&W I've been to was in Kuwait in 1999. At the time, I didn't even know they had restaurants here in the homeland.

There are a mess of A&W's here in Dallas. They usually co-exist with a Long John Silver (*barf*) and maybe a KFC, I think.
