did u download the full version? how does it look in hd? quick question about the upcoming HD DVD add on for the 360. Will it be able to play regular dvd's too?
its looks just like street fighter in the arcade, nothing special. the cool thing is you can watch other people play in the quarter match. 4 people, 1 winner, 3 challengers and you all can hear each other talk crap. the 360 plays regular dvds, but i'm wondering if the hd dvd will upconvert the dvds to 1080i, i know thats what regular hd dvd players do. also dont buy the 1st generation bluray/hddvd. both are buggy and slow. i read that samsung bluray really sucks and they know it. there's some artificial enhancement crap you can't turn off on it. however, i saw the sony and pioneer elite bluray players in january and they were smooth! i think the hd-trailers/content on xbox live looks really nice.
tinman, quick question ( dont' want to create a new thread on this) my lcd tv outputs 1080i im using a the xbox360 HD VGA cable, which allows my tv to display 1366x768 (i believe). If i use my component cables which i have not yet, my TV can display 1080i question is what is the difference between 1080i and what my tv displays using the vga cable. Is one better than the other? btw the TV model is Samsung LN-S3251D
what resolutions can you choose if you use the vga? if you can choose 1366x768, then that would be your best choice, else choose the 720p option cause 720p is the what the games are made in. dont choose 1080i if u can choose 720p.
are these up convert Dvd players any good? The one im looking at is the Samsung HD860. I find this model on ebay and it says it can play any region dvd. but when i go to bestbuy and look at the exact same model, it says only region 1 on the back and the sales man say the samething... im thinking because of copyright reasons they can't disclose it's region free?

I thought they took all this time to make sure it wasn't buggy. That kinda sucks. Price is alright if the good stuff works.
despite the negative reviews, there are TONS of people on it. I dont like the bugs, but the fun > bugs. quarter match is worth the download. people claiming that you are cheating and haxing is worth it too. its the ultimate compliment.
If I hadn't spent so much money on SF2 growing up.......I probably would have spent it on something more frivelous...
Does it keep accurate records...ie 25-4 or does it use a monthy or non-record ranking system. I downloaded the demo but without a good record system i doubt id get the full version.
yes and no yes it keeps good records, but only for ranked matches, not-quarter match however these records are tainted, the top players arent really top players, they drop out of match before you beat them so they can have an unblemished record. i'm surprised the testers havent figured that out.
