2 things from the clip. Why in a couple of college games did Olajuwon wear 35 and who edited the blow up like the world trade out...?
From what I remember they used to wear different numbers on the road and at home. I could be wrong...
I must have seen it 2 dozen times. I watch it whenever I'm depressed. He used to be so raw and then sooooo refined. Out of this world athleticism. We miss you big man.
You are correct . P.S. In 1987, Hakeem Olajuwon had 38 points, 17 rebounds, 12 blocks, 7 steals, and 6 assists in a double-overtime win over the Seattle SuperSonics, becoming one of the few players to register at least 6 points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals in a single game. Just AMAZING!
Pretty sure Hakeem went for 49 pts and 25 rebounds in another double-overtime game against the Sonics that year.
Watching that video reminded me that if not for one bad knee and a lot of good coke that Twin Towers team could have been the best team of all time. Dream Ralph Sampson Rodney McCray Lewis Lloyd John Lucas Robert Reid Jim Petersen Mitchell Wiggins Allen Leavell sigh
