I think it's around the power forward honestly. T-mac has had plenty of time to rest....and we have three decent pg's in Head-Alston-Spanoulis, Synder is a steal and should be a great insurance policy on Wes, and I'm far more comfortable with Battier then I ever was with Swift.

I think this team will win 50 games for sure. It's about time we got to enjoy the Rockets instead of whine about them.

Wesley is most likely not going to be a rocket.

Wesley is a Cleveland Cavalier. Snyder is better than wesley, we have more options at the point. Injuries only worry me after the fact. and we got smaller at the 4. and older. and less athletic... so its the 4 for me,

For me its the injuries. As long as the houston rockets can stay healthy they will have a good season. The FOUR spot worries me but not too much. I do not think that Shane battier should start at the 4 spot i think rockets would do better if he played small forward so he can guard the wing man on the other team. He can play PF when rockets try to run and go small.

For me the biggest question is: Can McGrady return to his 2004 form while Yao continues where he left off last season.

Knocking down outside shots and players keeping between their man and the basket, everything else Yao and T-Mac can probaly handle

The only question is the health of T-Mac and Yao. If they stay healthy everything else will take care of itself, i.e. the 50+ wins and trip to the WCF.

Health issues are not a question because they have no answer other than training. Power Forward solution is the major question in my mind because if we don't find one that will help, I am not optimistic about the season.

Health. The root cause of all evils for this rocket team. If we are healthy, Tmac and Yao, we are hell of a collective team. If one of them or both are down, everybody else looks ugly.

TMAC and YAO keep healthy/ the other role players do well.

No offense but it was pretty silly to even include "health" in this poll. You had to know it was going to get the vast majority of the votes.

    Should have asked, "Besides health...?".

i picked none of the above cause health is too obvious. i think all of those are certainly keys, but if i have to pick one, the key to next season will be how dominant can yao ming become?

I would go with the Alston/Head having better seasons. If they can take a lot of pressure off T-Mac bringing up the ball and apply solid 3/4 court pressure on D we'll be in the drivers seat. Not to mention scoring on some layups. We all know about the health issue. Bob Sura is done. But if he comes back and has a solid season I'll look at it as a bonus. I don't expect V-Span to do anything more than 10min max, and I don't see Snyder starting. PF is a question, Juwan Howard is our only legit PF, so we better make an attempt at one last move. I see Novak as a SF, but I hope I'm wrong. Shane Battier at PF totally defeats the purpose of what he's here for, guarding the opponents best wing. One question that does have me thinking is; what about backup C. In NBA2K6, Mutombo was good for 30min between the 4 and 5, but this is real life. He is only good for 8min max at backup.

The key question to the Rockets last season is the perimeter shooting. I asked myself this question. Has the problem carry over to 2006-2007 season? Whether this problem has been solved is debatable but I'm confident to say it has improved. Three players, IMO, that will improve the shooting problem are Battier, Synder and Novak.

Battier offense is definitely under-rated, his FG was 48.8% last season and knocked down 39.4% of 3pts attempts. Snyder made 35.5% of his 3pts attempts last season and his FG is at a reasonable 41.9% and Novak, our second round pick at the NBA Draft, is Marquette's all-time career leader in 3pts made and he shown that at Vegas.

The only question I still have is the depth, especially at 4 and 5. However, the players we had acquired so far is definitely going to make next season very interesting. The youth is very important 'ingredient' to Rockets which was nowhere to be found in the last two season.

Health, anytime Yao or T-mac hit the floor hard, I'll wonder if it's starting again

I choose Tmac/Sura injuries, because if Tmac gets injured again, this team is not winning. Same with Yao.

But i also want to know how Vspan/JL3/Snyder/Novak n Hayes turn out. If there is no depth then this team wont get too far in the playoffs. I really have high hopes for Vspan/Snyder n Novak, i think they will make a great impact.

No brainer. Healthy. No matter how mich other players can bring, the core of this team is T&Y. Their health is the key to our success, if any.
