I want to visit Cuba just for fun. I have been reading up on this, but cannot find definitive "proof" of what the consequences of me doing so may be. I am a British citizen but a permanent resident here. I know that I would have to travel through Canada or Mexico (or the Caribbean), but my quesiton to yall is what the legal ramifications of me doing so would be.

Just curious, why do you feel this way? Not trying to antagonize at all.

I go to Wikipedia for a lot of info and have found it surprisingly reliable, or at the very least resourceful. Especially for the fact that it's peer edited. Sometimes I do question accuracy, but overall the general purpose of the site is fulfilled.

No I love wikipedia and think its a great tool. That being said, for important things like this (potentially travelling illegally to a country the US isn't particularly buddy-buddy with), wikipedia may not be the end-all be all when it comes to reliable evidence on a topic.

For example the article I quoted only specifically talked about how US policy applies to citizens while actual US policy also applies to permanent residents which is a pretty big omission especially on a topic as big as this one.
