Just got on the internet ...

First, this is so sad .. and ironic.

Life is a b#tch. Now CB has been bitten by this b#tch twice this year (the first time Pip).

But, on hindsight, why did he play at all in the first place? I can see why he insisted, that is understandable, but what about the team doctors, coaches, trainers, don't they know something better????

    Man, this sucks.

Barkley had a sore quadriceps muscle in his RIGHT leg prior to the game. It had nothing to do with the injury --- which was a ruptured quadriceps tendon in his LEFT leg. It's possible that he might have been favoring his left leg over his sore right leg, but if you watch the replay of the injury, he simply landed very badly in the collision with Tyrone Hill. This was a FREAK accident ... just one of those things. Life sux.

Thanks for the info, I thought he (re-)injured the same leg.

How many freak accidents can one player have in a career? Coupled with the torn tricep in the playoffs, Barkley has to be an extremely unlucky person.

Wigman, thanks for the info. I also thought it was the same leg. Whew. That will stop the negative people in their tracks on this one from blaming Rudy.

Besides, that's what I thought. The doctors would not have let him play if they thought it was that bad.

    FREAK ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN.

    Tough luck, Chuck.

    We miss you already.
