WE had a great team. Despite our record, I knew, and everyone else on this forum knew that this team had a good chance of winning the title. WE still had 60 games left in the season, and things were starting to come together. Now Charles is lost. Charles had his game adapted to our offense; hakeem still has to adapt. And plus, by the time hakeem comes back, I think that the Rockets will have dug themselves a very big hole. Maybe I'm wrong. But right now, everyone on the Rockets is very depressed. We might be a good team, but not a great team like we were. I salute you Charles. May you end up broadcasting on TNT. "The difference between Charles and many other atheletes is that many atheletes are bad guys who try to look like good guys; Charles is a good guy who tries to look bad." LOTTERY TIME...
Real nice, alaskansnowman. I think we all did sense our team was better than the record and could become VERY GOOD. I'm not saying championship but at least VERY GOOD. With all due respect to Stevie, the team, and Hakeem (whom I also feel we had to have to do anything in the playoffs) losing Charles has just deflated my expectations for this year. He was the main man even if he acknowledged that it is "Stevie's team". Losing the experience and desire and talent of Barkley is insurmountable this season unless there is some sort of miracle. Rudy will find something positive, and the team will go on. We will be there to support them, albeit with sadness in our hearts this season. We have lost a great one! See ya in the Hall of Fame, Chuck! SaluteCharles = bballfanatic
