Steely Dan Call Out Luke and Owen Wilson

That response by Wilson was brilliant. Some of you guys need to take a lesson in sarcasm from both Steely Dan and Wilson.

 

I strongly suspect that the Wilson brothers are friends with The Dan, who are throwing one of the brothers some free publicity.

 

Or vice versa.

 

That should have set off anyone's sarcasm meter

 

Amen. I actually gained some respect for the Wilsons due to this thread. That's something I didn't think was possible. That should prove how great and powerful Steely Dan is.

 

Was this a callback of his Armageddon line when he said he hates it when people think Jethro Tull was a guy in the band? Sweet.

 

Actually, I bet this refers to the Steely Dan live recording of Bodhisattva. It was during what sounded like a festival and some drunk guy got up and announced the band. He said a few things that were hard to understand and then said, "Please welcome, Mr....Whatever...MISTER Steely Dan!"

You could actually hear the guys in the band laughing as the guy tried to introduce them slurring his speech and talking nonsense.
