Anyone know where I can get this software pretty cheap? My GF uses it for school, and I have been trying to do some spreadsheets in excel and such. Any guidance is appreciated.
You can download the 2007 beta for free, but it expires in February. If you download it, make sure you save your files by the current filetypes and not the new versions that came out with the beta. Google Office 2007 beta and you'll find it no problem.
get in touch with a memeber of this board by the moniker of "Val" apparently he knows a few things about microsoft.
If you're in college, most of the local schools will sell it to you for like $20 at their campus store..ie UH, UT, etc..
i just downloaded my copy for free...if you dont wanna do that you could always get open office at http://www.openoffice.org/ yea, and as dream sequence said, you can get it from a campus store if youre a student
Wouldn't be saying all that stuff on message boards...unless there is something about burning academic versions that is legal.
I second this. Go with OpenOffice. It's opensource, meaning that you can use it legally for free. Plus it's a great product.
