Currently writing a paper about Bush's approval ratings. Let's not turn this into D&D material. Just need a quote. When Bush was asked if he knew the leader of a certain country, he replied something like "no do you?" Anyone remember this?
There was an incident when GWB was running for president the first time around when a reporter put him on the spot and asked him if he could name the heads of state for four countries, and he didn't know any of them. I believe the countries were Pakistan, India, North Korea, and some other country...lol
NOT TRUE!!!...it's way easy if you've been hanging around here as long as I have. The Clutch Crew is...... Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee and Tommy!
I believe he said something to the effect of: I am so very frightened of Mario Williams. Just the sight of him makes my pants go brown. He dominates my thoughts and is the sum of all my fears. The Texans did the right thing by taking him instead of me. God bless the United States of America. Now, go get in your car, set the GPS to 'Hell' and drive, savvy?
Well, fortunately none of us are President, and none of the Clutch Crew are officially recognized members of the Axis of Evil.
I shouldn't laugh at Bush's public speaking ability because I'm much worse at it than he is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_6B6vwE83U&search=bush george
Here's a few... "I think -- tide turning -- see, as I remember -- I was raised in the desert, but tides kind of -- it's easy to see a tide turn -- did I say those words?" --George W. Bush, asked if the tide was turning in Iraq, Washington, D.C., June 14, 2006 "You never know what your history is going to be like until long after you're gone." --George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., May 5, 2006 "That's George Washington, the first president, of course. The interesting thing about him is that I read three -- three or four books about him last year. Isn't that interesting?" --George W. Bush, while showing German newspaper reporter Kai Diekmann the Oval Office, Washington, D.C., May 5, 2006 "I was not pleased that Hamas has refused to announce its desire to destroy Israel." --George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., May 4, 2006 "If the Iranians were to have a nuclear weapon they could proliferate." --George W. Bush, Washington D.C., March 21, 2006 "I like my buddies from west Texas. I liked them when I was young, I liked them then I was middle-age, I liked them before I was president, and I like them during president, and I like them after president." --George W. Bush, Nashville, Tenn., Feb. 1, 2006 "As you can possibly see, I have an injury myself -- not here at the hospital, but in combat with a cedar. I eventually won. The cedar gave me a little scratch. As a matter of fact, the Colonel asked if I needed first aid when she first saw me. I was able to avoid any major surgical operations here, but thanks for your compassion, Colonel." --George W. Bush, after visiting with wounded veterans from the Amputee Care Center of Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, Jan. 1, 2006 "The administration I'll bring is a group of men and women who are focused on what's best for America, honest men and women, decent men and women, women who will see service to our country as a great privilege and who will not stain the house." —Des Moines Register debate, Iowa, Jan. 15, 2000 "When I was coming up, it was a dangerous world, and you knew exactly who they were," he said. "It was us vs. them, and it was clear who them was. Today, we are not so sure who the they are, but we know they're there." —Iowa Western Community College, Jan 21, 2000 "The fundamental question is, 'Will I be a successful president when it comes to foreign policy?' I will be, but until I'm the president, it's going to be hard for me to verify that I think I'll be more effective." —In Wayne, Mich., as quoted by Katharine Q. Seelye in the New York Times, June 28, 2000 "The person who runs FEMA is someone who must have the trust of the president. Because the person who runs FEMA is the first voice, often times, of someone whose life has been turned upside down hears from." —Austin, Texas, Jan. 4, 2001
