I thought I would try and sell a couple of neons here to my fellow cf members while at the same time helping out the Clutch. I figure I'd contribute 25% of the sell price to the Tip Jar.

This sign has never been used. It has been in storage pretty much it's whole life. Hopefully someone here can give it a good home. It's 24" x 18"

$200 or best offer by noon Friday. (no less than $200)

Email me through the board with your offer.

    I hope this is okay.

I have another neon sign (Budweiser) I was thinking of selling like this if it is indeed okay but I was wondering if I should put it in this thread or start a new one?

No one is interested? :( Anyone want to see the Budweiser sign?

I wonder If I should have made a fundraiser thread where everyone could sell an item in it as long as they gave a percentage of their chosen to the tip jar.

If it can handle the outdoors, it would be great.

Hey Blatz, I will throw in some Blatz salt & pepper shakers to seal the deal.

How would I give 25% of that to the Clutch? A headless bobblehead? :D

If it's covered real good I guess it would be okay. These things are pretty fragile.

It would be a nice addition to the bar...for all the old school people but 200 is a bit steep..my partners would attack me for that since all the neons we get right now are free :)

I can see why your partners would get mad but they got to understand, this is old school. :)

I sold one just like this last year for $375 at the Autorama.

Can the beer reps still get you the old ones?

I can ask them but the odds are very slim on finding old stuff like that in the wharehouse unless they took it from some club or bar that went under. BUt then again they have a way of being "Misplaced" by some reps.

I definetly love the fact that it's old school but i doubt it's in the budget haha....it would get lost in the 50 or so neons we have right now.

I have 2 Superbowl neons that are huge by Coors and was offered like 600 bucks for them during superbowl but i didn't sell them..i still have one in the bar and one upstairs that doesn't light up but can be easily fixed...that i want for my own use :D

Do these neon signs use a lot of electricity?

Not too much really. Some of the neons have 2 switches on the transformer so you can lower their brightness and power usage but when you do that they make a nasty buzzing noise...which of course you don't notice in a bar but if it was the only one you had it would be annoying as hell.
