I was wondering if anyone out there knew of a customer service for yahoo? Recently I went to log in to my yahoo account and it told me my password was invalid. I tried it a couple more times without it working, and was a bit curious why it didn't. When I logged into my other email account, it told me that I had recently changed my password, but it did not give me the new password. When I tried to request a new one, it kept telling me that my information wasn't matching what they had on file. WTF? I NEVER changed my password!!

I know I first got the account years ago, but I've tried every zipcode I've lived at, and none of them are working for some reason. Anyway, I'm trying to actually TALK to someone on yahoo rather than continually sending stuff though these feedback forms that only seem to generate automated responses. I certainly can create a new account, but this old account has lots of pictures, email addresses, etc. that I'd prefer not to lose without trying to get back first. I mean, I can easily prove that it's my account, but I just don't feel like there is a way to do that thus far.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Right now, I don't have a clue of what to do other than sit and wait forever to see if someone from yahoo emails me back. I don't know what to suspect since the day the password was allegedly changed I was the only one at my apartment and no one else had access to my computer, at least not from my place.... Is there an actual customer service number, or is it all those BS help pages??

    Help!!!

If you haven't logged in for quite a while they may have cleared your account and someone else may have opened a new one with the same account name. That would explain why your password and information would be different. Before you tried the other day, how long has it been since you logged into the account?

Well, I was on it that night until 1 am or so with no problems. When I woke up the next day, it wouldn't let me log in, and I received an email at an alternate email address telling me (for security reasons...go figure) that I had changed my password to my yahoo account. I know I didn't do this, so I thought it was odd. The email was received around midnight, and I was actually still on my computer at that time logged into my yahoo account. Hmmm....weird.

Anyway, I use it all the time, which is why i'm so pissed I can't get into it. Very odd, but frustrating....

Sounds like your account has been hacked. Unfortunately the only way I can find to contact Yahoo is through their forms and right now the contact link for reporting your account being compromised is not working for me. You can try it here http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/security/cgi_feedback

Your account has been hacked, no doubt.. not sure if you can recover your password but you can prevent having it stolen again.
There are viruses on the internet.. diferent files with an .exe extension. They read your login/pass everytime you login to yahoo messenger and send the info to their creator.
It is recommended you have an antivirus installed, and a damn good one. i use nod32 and it hadn't failed me once.
I have some friends who had lost their yaho id in simmilar ways, so be carefull what you download from the internet
In case you recover your data, make sure you clean your pc and then change it again

you can never be to sure on these things ;)

    Hope that helps

You can call them at 408-349-1572, but expect to get the runaround. They will punt you deep inside the 20. Since you don't know your zipcode you entered when it was first set up, it is going to take a lot of persuading to get them to reset your pw.

BTW, is your acct merged with an your isp acct?
