    He was arrested for Coke possesion along with a gun the last time before he decided to try to make his comeback and started working out again.

    Wow! That would give Cali a bigger prison population than Texas. I'm a former correctional officer of Texas. There are so many prison units in texas they should just put up double fences and razor wire around the entire State Border.

    I guess they figure the addicts will go cold turkey during their stay, but some jails have easier access to dope than the streets.

    Dude must be the biggest moron alive. Driving around and smoking out is already a dumb thing to do...especially if your high profile like he is. But, to do it while driving around with a missing license plate is just universally stupid.

    He gets high marks for being a dumbass.

    Actually the debate is whether this is going to scare those addict off the drug or actually only going to make their lives more misrable using tax payer's money. There isnt a conclusive study showing this will work.

    Shawn Kemp arrested in Houston... I'll give you 1 guess why!

    7/21/06 - HOUSTON) - Former NBA player Shawn Kemp faces a July 28 court appearance after he was arrested and charged Friday for possession of mar1juana.

    Kemp, 36, was arrested following a traffic stop for driving without a license plate shortly after midnight Friday. An officer with the Harris County Sheriff's Department pulled Kemp over and said he noticed the smell of burning mar1juana coming from Kemp's vehicle.

    The officer and later found less than 2 ounces of the illegal drug in Kemp's possession.

    The six-time NBA All-Star player was released from the Harris County Jail after posting a $500 cash bond.

    After 14 seasons with the Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers and Orlando Magic, Kemp retired from the league in 2003 and now lives in Houston.

    Man I remember how exciting Kemp was in seattle, its a shame to see him get out of shape and now have these arrests to taint his career.
