Wasn't he dating Rudy T's daughter? She needed a sugar daddy and Rudy T knew just the guy. :D Look what Phil Jackson has managed in L.A. after being sweet on the boss's daughter. Kobe isn't the only rapist in that organization.

    Nice. Really uplifting!!

At the time of the draft , more than 2/3 of the board and the general public were mad as hell about the RG trade, including me. I'm still pissed 'cause CD got raped out of a top ten pick and gave up two players I wanted to keep.

It's completely immature to wish ill to someone simply to make a point to someone else. Grow up.

I think KB may well turn out to be something worth doing for the ROX, I mean geez, if you sign enough discount players, one of them has to turn out better than expected, right? I think that's why Rudy was willing to go back to the NBDL repeatedly!! It's not that these guys can't play, but they are usually only talented enough to be marginal role players...

I'll be rooting for Kill Bill, and for all the ROX, regardless of what the final roster looks like!!

And oh, hey, I've decided that I won't be rooting for anyone you've ever praised to do poorly just so you'll look like a dick!! :p

JVG will play whoever performs. IMO, JL3 will get more playing time than Vspan because he is more ready for the NBA. If Vspan is the real deal, he'll nose his way into serious playing time before the season ends. We'll see. Winning and keeping his job are more important to JVG than anything else.

I don't like any of the Laker trades I have heard. But also you can't combine a TE with a player, so 4.3 mil is the most salary we can involve with TE--just under Jasikevicius and probably enough for a S&T with Jones.

I see Juwan as our regular back-up 4 and situational back-up 5. Yes he will be increasingly overpaid, but he can do these roles pretty well. I would be fine with trading him if we got a less overpaid but equally productive player, but the problem is getting another team to do it.

I am more confident in positions 3-5 than 1-2. I think every primary 1 or 2 (I exclude Tmac, because he should play all his minutes at the 3) has some questions either because of erratic play/character questions (Alston, Synder) or because of limited NBA experience (Head, JL3, VS). Also, Snyder can play the 3. Overall I think Jones would increase our wing athleticism (a big weakness for us) and provide the safest bet of a solid all around contributor from our guard spots.

The problem I see with Indy is they just have way too many guards and swingmen. As it is now they will lose Jones for nothing to a high bidder. They could at least get a TE and like a 2nd rounder for working through us. I see them very willing to dump Jasikevicius for free (TE), 4 mil a year for a 3rd stringer just isn't a wise money move. I might make them give us a 2nd to take Jasikevicius for our the TE because that really would help their salary picture.

I would take Jackson off them if something worked from Indy's perspective (matching salary and players), which I can't guess what it would be as we won't touch Yao, Tmac or Battier, and don't think they would want Howard or Alston at all.

Naw it aint that, I just want us to be able to move on from the shock and hurt of the Rudy Gay trade.

Given how we don't have that many exiting players to make exiting play and young players with tremendous upside, i just get tired of seeing what we passed up.

But I guess i should get over it. I'll have to see him 4 times a year. :p

Really well put. I actually forgot that you can't combine the TE. Yeah if we could get Fred Jones with the TE that would be great.

But I would still like to see us sign a guy like Evans with the rest of our MLE. I believe in a hard nose gritty PF. Like Otis Thorpe. But i actually don't think the rockets will sign Evans because JVG has made it pretty clear that he wants a PF with shooting range.

I agree...even though he isn't quick his hesitation moves are what makes his game different.....I think Mike James would nto have been a good fit as he already proved once before..if Yao and Tracy are healthy, we really don't need james..I think Span is a better fit...

He has decent skills and looks like a competitor. I worry that he appears to be slow. He will really have to work hard to keep up with the speed of the game.
