http://pc.ign.com/articles/714/714552p1.html Is anyone playing this? It has gotten pretty good reviews everywhere I have seen it. It is also being compared to Diablo. It looks pretty good and I am probably going to pick it up soon. http://pcmedia.ign.com/pc/image/article/713/713328/titan-quest-20060619042657170.jpg
this game is soo similar to diablo that i´m not gonna fork out 40+ bucks and start from the scratch, instead i´m gonna stick with the original one; btw: anyone got an IST for free?
It's like Diablo II with better graphics, but its set in Greece, Egypt, and Asia, with mythical creatures. You can specialize in two classes which gives you all kinds of cool combinations for classes. I think its pretty fun.
Yes you can play online multiplayer. I have only been playing it single player so far, but I did look to see how many servers they had up and there were quite a few.
nothing else to do in the golden triangle? edit: j/k of course. first two years of schooling was there. dorm life was bad arse. sigh. ok... sorry for the derail.
Where you at LU? What years? Back on Topic: I picked this game up Friday. Ihave really enjoyed it. If you liked Diablo 2, you'll like this. It is basically Diablo 2.1- "Diablo meets Age of Mythology". I popped online for a bit and saw tons of available games. I didn't join one because I wanted to develop my character a little more. I really like the fact that you don't have to nail ourself down to one specific class. I am a Warrior class but my secondary Mastery is Earth (Fire) Mage. But the cool thing is I got a blue bow drop fairly early in the game and I use it to pop monsters from a distance. It will one or two shot a lot of things, but if they make it to me or I get in a group of Mobs, I switch to duel wielded axes and chop them down. One thing I did find out that people may not realize; You can somewhat cue actions. You do it using the right mouse button. Set the right mouse to be a normal type attack (as opposed to a timed attack). Then right click your initial target, hold the mouse button down adn move it to the next target to attack. After the first target dies you'll automatically attack the second target. When this happens move it to another target, and so forth. You can only cue up 2 targets at a time so you have to wait until the first target dies before moving on to a third target. Overall the reviews I have seen for the game are pretty spot on. It is pretty addicting and you don't have to wait until the last stages of the 3rd difficulty to get epics. I'm not quite finished with the Greece stage on normal difficuty, but I have already gotten 4 blues and one green. As I said before if you are a fan of D2 you may want to give this game a try. You owe yourself at least gviing the demo a try.
To be honest, I was never too keen on Titan Quest because hack-and-slash RPGs aren't really my thing.. Neverwinter Nights 2 is the game I'm waiting for. Having said that, I did enjoy Diablo II quite a bit - but this may have led to my subsequent disappointment in games such as Sacred and Fate Will give the demo a shot though, as I do occasionally get in the mood for some mindless monster ass-kicking
I heard good and bad things.. good: nice eye candy, decent story, cool features/playability bad: buggy/crashes a lot, repetitive mouse masher Overall I don't think I'd do it if you already have a copy of WoW or D2.
