Man, TMNT was the s*** when I was growing up. At least until the movie came out. I thought it was lame.

    Well it is a movie...just not a live-action one.

And this, based on the last rumours I heard, which are pretty old, is supposed to be darker and edgier. I'm divided on the animation though, the turtles look great, but the environment seems saturday morning cartoon quality to me.

    Thanks RC Cola

I was a big fan of the TMNT, I have a lot of action figures, a lot of the games for NES and SNES.

It looked promising until Michaelangelo's "entrance". If taken as serious and violent subject matter where the turtles are a gang, then TMNT would have a lot of promise. Otherwise, it's kids stuff and belongs with all of the other recent turtles stuff (the movies, tv show and video games) in the crap pile.

agreed... hopefully that is just comic relief and it is dark like a batman begins meets the animatrix (final flight of the osiris)

The 1st TMNT movie was great. The 2nd was OK, and the 3rd was pure crap. I have not actually seen any of the new cartoons on TV, but i hate the way they made the turtles look.

Yeah, the series went to hell when New Line caved into parents' demands and toned down the violence and played up the humor. Hopefully this animated film takes the turtles back to their darker roots.

The plot synopsis is interesting though. Apparently the Shredder has already been defeated and doesn't factor into the storyline at all.

The city looked awesome. The turtles looked crappy compared to the rest of the animation, imo.
