    Really just thought it was pretty funny that they decided to get their money's worth, "let's protest everything we stand against at once, even though it might not necessarily fit into the context of this pro-life rally." Ahh, gotta love multitasking :D ...

    Pro-life demonstrators Tuesday tore apart the Muslim holy book, the Koran. They wanted to set it on fire, but the group does not have the proper permits.

    Tuesday morning rallies became confrontational when police would not allow loudspeakers.

    In an act of defiance, the group dropped their signs and crossed the street. They prayed in a spot where they're not permitted to rally.

    The demonstrators have permits for a variety of locations. One is outside U.M.C. There they hope to influence doctors and students.

    "Medical institutions are the ones training doctors how to kill children," said Pastor Michael Warren of Operation Save America.

    Outside the Capitol, seven Supreme Court decisions, including Roe Vs. Wade, were passed out and torn apart by children.

    Then a rainbow flag, a symbol of homosexuality, was destroyed.

    Next, demonstrators brought out a Koran, Islam's holy book. They ripped out pages, passed them around, and began tearing.

    A pack of matches made its way to the front, but the group never got the proper permits to burn.

    "It has just been one thing after another. They don't want to deal with the issue that these lies need to be burned right here on these steps," said Rev. Flip Benham of Operation Save America

    Their reasoning is written on their shirts: Homosexuality is sin. Islam is a lie. Abortion is murder.

    "These are lies that are destroying people, lives, and nations. Often times, truth is hate to those who hate the truth," said Benham.

    "It's unfortunate that tearing up a Koran and making plans to burn it are within their actions," said Shannon Reaze of the Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Coalition.

    Pro-choice activists chose a different approach. They spent the day passing out fliers and going door to door in west Jackson neighborhoods. They spoke to residents about the choices available for women.

    "We really wanted to make sure that were reaching folks you could not reach with a rally. We are willing to put feet to the pavement," said Sandi Lyman of The Feminist Majority Foundation.

    In one nice, neat package, all three reasons I started calling myself agnostic at the ripe old age of thirteen. And we still hassle Scientologists? Until moderate Christians put their political and social house in order, I'll take alien creation myths, auditing, anti-psychotherapy rhetoric and paid commissions for converts over this crap any day of the week.

    I am still looking for the Bible verse where Jesus was organizing all those protests...

    He did throw out the greedy merchandisers out of the Temple and told them it was a house of prayer...

    Maybe we Christians should see what the latest book or CD is we are selling to people with the message Jesus asked us to give out free of charge...

    For $24.95 you can purchase the Gospel message in a best seller???????

    As for protesting- I know the difference between preaching the Good News and making Christians look like terrorists.

    In any case, I don't think it's stupidity, they clearly don't have enough time or resources to hold three separate protests...

    Not to mention it's damn effecient as well. They get to weed out gay supporters, but muslim haters or vice versa. Everyone should be on the same page.
