I guess when someone puts up nearly 26ppg,11rpg after getting rid of a nagging injury isn't convincing enough. On top of that, he easily made himself the best Center in the NBA, today. In my opinion, I would not trade Yao Ming for anyone in the NBA. For T-Mac, there are a couple of players, for Yao Ming, I wouldn't. He's a Center, he's young, he had every little bit of dominance in him towards the end of last season. Prior to that he was a top 20 player, with that emergence it warranted him as a top 10 player. Again, it's how you judge top 10(value, sucessful,etc.)

For the prediction of next season 1. Lebron: He has anything you want, he is still improving, and he is YOUNG. 2. Kobe: Unbelievable talent, may learn team work and deal with his ego better when he is older 3. Wade: Under new rule, he can get inside to score at will. Whenever his mid-range shot is on, he is unstoppable. 4. Duncan: still most fundamental and complete player, but age will catch him up. 5. Dirk: You can't stop a 7 foot sharp shooter and the best flopper on both sides of court. Seriously, his defense is improving too. 6. Yao: my expectation might be too high. But he can dominate more when his teammates can shoot and pass better.7. 7. Nash: Age is also a concern, but he is the best player to make his teammates better. 8. PP: He is simply good. Best list so far I'd take out Dirk, though. The guy disappears when it counts, just take a look in all the games Dallas lost against Miami or the Rockets vs. Mavs series last year. He's a horrible defender and relies too much on the jumpshot, although this year he got a lil more aggressive. And can an MVP get some love here? Nash has gotta be on the list, I'd bump Yao down to 9 and Brand to 10, and move Iverson to 7 and Nash to 8. Iverson has done what T-mac and Kobe have not done, carried a team to the finals and he's won an MVP. Give him a good supporting cast, and he'll be top 5.
Here is my top 10 list, based on pure talent: 1. Lebron James -- Over the past year he has developed into the best player in the league period. My pick of MVP winner next season. 2. Dwayne Wade -- Tremendous competitor and a winner. A perfect fit for the new rules. 3. Kobe Bryant -- the best scorer in the game today. 4. Tim Duncan (when healthy) -- TD showed in the playoffs that he's still the best low post player in the league when he's healthy. 5. Dirk Nowitzki -- one of a kind scoring machine; MVP candidate. 6. Steve Nash -- best point guard in the league; age may be catching up with him soon. 7. Kevin Garnett -- Tremendous all-around talents; need to show that he's a winner. 8. Allen Iverson -- still is one of the league's best players; age may be a factor. 9. Elton Brand -- the best PF in the league last year; just hitting his prime. 10. Yao Ming -- the most dominant center in the league; still needs to improve his stamina and quickness; given his age and position still has tremendous upside. Just missed the cut: Amare Stoudemire -- health is a big concern; if regains athletic ability will be in top ten. Shaquille O'neal -- getting too old and injury-prone; is about to have a spiral decline toward the end of his career. Carmelo Anthony -- one of the top clutch scorers in the league. Tracy Mcgrady -- if ever healthy again will be in top five. Gilbert Arenas -- tremendous scorer; needs to learn to make his teammates better.
You sure have a a lot of changes for the "best list so far." In all honesty, having TMac as the best player in the league is pretty much being a homer IMO. I love TMac more than any other player in the league, but I would rate Lebron and Kobe over him (and I HATE Kobe).

But greater talent is rated below greater success.
I concur that. Tracy has never been the best player of the league even when he was healthy and/or dominant. As much as I like him, there is no way he is No. 1.
This might sound a little weird, I feel Yao is in the top 10 and I think he is the only untouchable player in the NBA for me (wouldn't trade him for anybody), but at the same time I don't ever feel he's is the best player on any team he's on.
There's nothing wrong with that. Yao's value is more in the scarcity of great (or even good) players at his position than his individual talent. He is the true center who can give you the most night-in and night-out. Shaq is still a bigger threat (commands more double teams) and can give you more for one game, but is declining. I really think the true "untouchables" in the league are Kobe, Yao, and LeBron. Anyone else might be traded for someone, even if you'd have to blow their GM's away.
NO CERTAIN ORDER: Tracy McGrady: When Healthy (often except last season), Tracy McGrady can do it all. Take it in strong, Take over Games, Handle the rock, Shoot well and make clutch shots, Get team involved, Make teammates better. Steve Nash: The guy is two time repeating NBA MVP. Has led his team with and without amare stoudemire to the Western Confrence Finals. Yao Ming: Young center who is getting better and better very fast. Elevating his game to another level. WATCH OUT NEXT YEAR. Lebron James: Can do it all. Arguably the best all around player in the league. Kobe Bryant: 81 points in a game. that says it all Dwyane Wade: Finals MVP, Takes it to the hole anytime he wants to. Tim Duncan: Very dominant guy not as much any more but still 3 rings and 2 season mvps and 2 + finals mvp Kevin Garnett: Arguably the best PF in the league. Very Athletic and can do it all. Has channged the pf position. Allen Iverson: Plays with heart and passion every game. 3 time scoring champ? Gilbert Arenas/Vince Carter: Both great scorers and mean alot to their team can do various things on the court.
