What do y'all think of a possible trade w/ Miami.

Juwan Howard and a future first round pick (year doesn't matter) for Udonis Haslem.

I think the Rockets are a power forward and a legit backup point guard away from being complete. I know that Battier is supposed to be playing some 4, which might be why the Rockets stand pat at power forward. What I think they are trying to do is get guys who can make open 10-15ft jumpers when guys leave to double Yao and TMAC. Haslem is a younger guy who's age would fit well w/ our team right now and he, like Howard can hit the open mid range jumper.

There is no way the HEAT would do that trade. He is one of the few young players they have and they would never give him up for a old scrub like Howard

I have to agree. I can't see any reason why Miami would do this.

The Miami Heat won't do it. A future first round pick? Even in the loaded 2007 draft (and if the Rockets are healthy), our first round pick isn't going to be valuable, probably not much higher than the Heat's.

No disrespect but Miami probably wouldn't even listen to this. He gaurded Dirk hella well in the finals. He is there best rebounder and hustle player and plus they just won the championship so I doubt he is goin anywhere.

The problem with your proposal, like most that are proposed on the forum, is that it assumes the other team wants the Rockets to win. Answer me this: Why would the Heat do this after Haslem was a factor in them winning the NBA title? If Pat Riley were secretly on Les' payroll, this could happen. He isn't and the Heat won't make this trade. When making a trade proposal, take a long hard look at it from the other team's point of view.

how do i rate a thread "Idiotic"?

People, if a trade proposal involves one side getting ass spanked, then it probably won't work.

Yes, this is a horrible trade proposal. Not even in the realm of being realistic.

self claimed "obligatory" means nothing. You should take that word out of your title.

Howard + that future first rounder for Jamal Crawford sounds a lot better than this.

Don't hate on the name. I made that name when I was a Sr in h.s. 8 years later, I haven't bothered to change it. It could be a lot worse.

About the trade, if I were Miami, I wouldn't do it either as is, but I was hoping that some people provide an alternative instead of just shooting it down. Haslem is a hard worker and wasn't even drafted, his numbers are very similar to Howards. Now if Miami shoots it down b/c of Howards age, fine, which is y we could sweeten the deal (luther head etc).

Instead of busting someones ass, provide some alternatives, or is ass busting the only think many of u are good for?

Does salary match? Is Haslem in his rookie contract?

I hate Haslem but it would be a good deal for us. I still hate Haslem so I would pass.

The idea of the Heat trading Haslem to us is nonsense. There is nothing to build on.

Haslem is far too valueable to Miami...his defiense on Dirk was a major reason they won.
