You have every right to worry.

Know player with Snyders ability gets traded for basically nothing unless there is a good reason.

Snyder is good but he does come with some risk.

Looking at this, it seems Snyder is one of the strongest ,highest-leaping and quickest players in that draft...one only hopes that he can reach his full potential. To paraphase the UNCF: "An ability is a terrible thing to waste." Snyder's showing improvement. Let's just hope it continues.

Agreed on your ragging of Swift. Although i'd prefer we don't have to talk about him anymore.

But let me say you are just going a tad far saying Swift could be Garnett. :)

as far as this thread, I voted Smith. Only reason he didn't continue to develop in New Orleans was cause he wasnt getting off the bench for long periods of time.

who's to say this wasn't as much Byron Scott's fault?

there seems to be a lean toward Snyder cause he seems more likely to carry less risk than Snyder. the facts are Snyder already had a major blow up with our coach and team in Utah and in addition Scott was happy to let him go from N.O cause he wasn't happy with his attitude.

so why is it said Smith is more a risk than Snyder?

Because JR Smith is all potential. He's servicable, but not very good right now. That's why Snyder beat him out for his starting spot. Snyder is a more servicable NBA player right now.

p.s. I'd like to have them both. I think having a hard nosed coach like JVG and being surrounded by hard-working consumate professionals such as Yao, T-Mac, Shane Battier, Juwan Howard, Rafer Alston, and Chuck Hayes should motivate them to work hard and improve. Also, they've never been in a position to have a winning season. The Rockets should make the playoffs this year. If all of that doesn't inspire them to give it their best effort, they have no place in the league.

I kinda had the major impression he lost his spot due to the whole spat with Byron Scott

Why don't we have both if we can get JR Smith for nothing? At least it gives fans a Rudy Gay lite that they can dream.

He was moved primarily to free up money for re-signing Rasual Butler.
