I remember last few years offseason was full of trades with like 40% of the players around the league moving, this year.... not so active. There hasnt even been alot of rumors flying around either

are teams settle down with their teams core pieces? Or is it just bec the rockets arnt making any moves?

The free agent class is thin. What did you expect?

The big names all agreed to deals within the first few days of July so of course it's gonna slow down.

There are likely 3 significant, multi-team transactions left. A deal that ships Iverson, a deal that ships Al Harrington and a deal that ships Drew Gooden.

rumor has it here in la that the clippers turned down philly's offer of iverson for livingston+maggette. it was on the radio a lot here past day or so. Of course the clippers would have to add someone else to match the salaries match (the most sensible fit would have been rebraca the espn guys were saying) but i guess it was too much. personally despite the huge love fest for livingston ( i really like the kid too, a bit scrawny still) i would have done the trade it would have made the clips instant contenders and the biggest draw in la easily.

I think there's still plenty of player movement left this offseason.

However I'm a staunch believer in AI staying put in Philly.

I'm glad the clippers didn't do this. I think Iverson is not the right guy for the clippers, if they have iverson Brand's offensive role will decrease(ofcourse he is an amazing offensive rebounder). And he will have to stand and watch iverson jack up 30 shots a game(ok a little less). and i do not think it would be in the interest of the clippers to have iverson. Livingston will be a great point guard in the future, and iverson is getting older.

Im still wondering why Lorenzen Wright hasnt had his name linked anywhere yet? Decent big which could be had for a relatively cheap price...

When most of the free agents are crap there isn't going to be much movement.

No way. Livingston shouold be close to untouchable at the moment. He has shown greatness at times and unless your getting something very very good, you cant ship him. The kid is said to be the next Magic. His passing ability is just beautiful. One of the few reasons i watch clipper games from time to time even though their announcers on chan. 5 suck balls!

He's also already playing in the NBA. A little to late for the "he's said to be the next [fill in the blank]" - that's usually what you hear leading up to the draft or something.

He could improve significantly, but even then he won't be the next Magic.

If AI went to the Clips, they would instantly become a favorite to reach the NBA Finals. If he's traded, AI would play with even more passion than normal and would do anything to help his team. Think Mike James x10. Livingston could be destined for greatness but getting AI would all be about winning right now, this year or next. I say it's good trade for the Clips.

He is crap all the time. He is so overrated. He plays absolutely no defense and plays with no passion. People are blinded by the fact that he puts up some points. He gives them all right back throughout the game.

AI on that Clips team would be scary but I would also be scared of trading away Livingston. Livingston could definitely become a superstar PG
