That's what makes the lawsuit so stupid. She's really been harmed.

But her job has been. Plame herself might not be suffering but the work she was doing at the CIA has.

Again I find it amazing that people who were calling the NYT's for reporting on programs like Swift are so blase, or defensive, regarding the revealing of classified information, the identity of a CIA operative, in this case.

I was waiting for Ms. Plame to get around to this, and I'm damned glad she has.

Shouldn't the CIA sue them then.

How many people do the kind of work that VP did? Is she irreplaceable? Has she suffered a loss in pay? Sounds like she stumbled into an awesome "bonus" program.

How? She wasn't overseas, she was a party girl in DC.

And I suppose in your free time you never go to parties. That doesn't change the fact that she worked for the CIA and that knowledge was classified and has you and others so often point out it is a crime to reveal classified info. Or are you saying now its not always a crime and that sometimes its in the greater interest to reveal classified info?

Well if you read the facts that Fitzgerald has presented in this case you would discover that she was in fact helping to monitor Iraq's nuclear program, had contacts in Saudi Arabia, and all over the middle east. She also was part of the CIA front company Brewster Jennings, which numerous undercover agents used in the ME and that front company was also exposed.

The fact that you claim she was a party girl in DC is laughable.

I will probably have to take the same tact as Deckard and again suggest you seek professional help. As I mentioned before you seem irrationally hostile, depressed, and obssessive. I seriously hope that you get some help. I will try and not respond to you, because I guess it isn't really that healthy. Though there has to be someone to debate around here. I don't know how long that will last.

I don't know what the CIA procedures are for civil suits but I don't necessarily think that is out of the question. As for Plame heriself though even if she hasn't suffered in terms of name recognition her ability to do her job has been greatly compromised that would still be grounds for a suit. For ginstance if I did something that made it practically impossible to do your job yet you weren't physically or financially harmed you would still have grounds to sue me since a harm was still done.

Her husband blew her cover by being such a publicity hound. And what was his expertise in WMD?

If there was anything to this, Fitzgerald would have gone after the leak itself. The Plames see their 15 minutes of fame fading, and this is an attempt to revive it.

That isn't relevant to whether she was working on WMD's in Iran and part of the front company Brewster Jennings. Though according to Fitzgerald it was within the last few years.

Yet, Fitzgerald didn't go after the leak, hum. It's clear what was going on here. Plame and others in the CIA were actively undermining the president, and they got burned. Boo freakin' hoo.

What a baseless supposition. It has in no way been shown that she was undermining the President.

Again whether or not Fitzgerald pressed charges doesn't mean that national security wasn't comprimised.

Your inability to argue facts and poking fun at the constitution speaks volumes to your objectivity on the matter.

It's the Plames who are "poking fun at the Constitution". They've received all sorts of pub courtey of the leak.
