Yes, he is with another team. But if you want to make a point about CD and the Rockets' front office for trading him, I'd say you have to follow up on Gay's pro performance at least for a while. So in my opinion, it is OK to have a thread like this in this forum. I am sure there are a lot of Rockets funs like me out there want to know exact what we gave up in the draft day trade.

You can see why the Rockets liked Foye:

    Randy Foye 10-18 28 points

Why do so many people take the summer league stats so serious ? Its the college all-star league. Those guys can dominate down there but once they come and play with the big boys everything is much faster, the players are stronger, and the defenses are tougher. Maybe one or two guys from the summer league will come up and make a big difference...MAYBE !!!

Dang didn't even notice that... I was hoping he was part of the Battier trade at least. I kinda thought memphis picked him for us cause he worked out for us :( .

ok this thread needs to be moved to NBA now.

OMFG!!!!!!! good thing we traded rudy gay. 20 and 10.....win now baby.

on a side note I really wish the nba had the ability to develop some sort of truly viable minor league system. lowry, johnson, and gay would be great to see after they had seasoned for a year or two in the minors with other comparable talent. maybe the NBA is simply too small roster-wise for that to be plausible.

If one summer league game made these guys, we have the next Isiah Thomas and Larry Bird on our summer league squad with JL3 and The AutoVak (tm).

That being said, I must admit, I'm holding back a tear right now... *ahem*.

The Rockets could have drafted this guy instead of the Israeli SF. They knew they were losing Stromile Swift in along with their only #1 pick. Alexander worked out for the Rockets. Draft Express described him as the most athletic PF after Tyrus Thomas. Many mock drafts had him going in the first round. I bet this guy turns out to be a great low post defender and rebounder in the NBA. I couldn't believe it when the Rockets passed him up for another white SF. Once again Jerry West demonstrates better apptitude for evaluating talent.
