of course i see them in the playoffs. yao-deke jho-padgett tmac-bowen wesley-jb sura-james that team won 52 games. yao, tmac, deke, jho are all back. novak = padgett. hayes = bowen. shane and rafer are upgrades over wesley and sura. head is a slight downgrade to JB. once we sign a backup PG we will be about even. i expect 48-52 wins. there is no reason not to expect that. do you really think we would win more games with this team?: yao-deke jho-stro tmac-gay head-second rounder? rafer-mle? the truth is, yao and tmac (when healthy) will win about 50 games no matter who is around them.
Exactly, heath will be our biggest hurdle this year. If we had kept Gay, Swift and Bogans this up coming year and we went through the hellish rash of injuries specificly Yao and T-mac that we went through this past season it wouldn't matter. Yao and T-mac change the game when they are on the floor and make our role players better, if they stay health for the better part of the year then I expect us to be in the top half of the West by the time the playoffs come around.
I don't know about AI, I wouldn't take a risk on someone who's 31, and an option for a fourth year is out of question. I say we trade Novak straight up for KG, I hear the Wolves are really high on this kid, they think he will be the next Dirk Nowitzki
Ok yeah i admit this sounds stupid but did anyone catch Quite Frankly tonight? They were talking about that one superstar that gets traded and Scoop Jackson actually mentioned that he thinks Tmac should be traded straight up for AI. You know... that doesnt sound that bad. He also mentioned how the rockets have been trying to get rid of tmac "for a long time, because of his back". Now Scoop Jackson isn't stupid, hes a really good columnist, but hell i would actually be ok with this deal IF tmac doesn't suceed next year we could get away with this.
I love how some of the '06er's on this thread are raggin' on the long-timers droppin' sarcasm in here, and the newbies don't even know it. That said, I'd trade T-MAc for Bron Bron and cash, that be off the heezy.
