In his interview with a local Minnesota radio station WFAN he says

He's still underpaid and he will opt out of his deal in 3 years because he feels he's still underpaid.

How about them apples folks. Sweet or sour.

Why would he say that when he just joined the team?

Because he's an idiot. Hadn't you noticed that yet?

It's funny. He thinks he's LeBron. Opting out in 3 years...Kinda cute actually.

Gosh, if he did say that, this guy is really insane. At least, Minnesota will know that James will play hard to up his value. They will be praying that he doesn't ballhog too much and leaves KG out of the offence.

If this is true, I am glad he is not on our team. No loyalty at all.

Don't you remember that James did the same thing to Rockets approx. one and a half years before his contract expired.

The cost of living in Minnesota must be unbelievable! First Latrell Sprewell is having trouble feeding his family, now Mike James signs a deal worth what? 23 million dollars- then immediately complains that he's underpaid and that he'll opt out as soon as possible.

Wouldn't that be awesome? If in 3 years he ends up just like Sprewell with nobody wanting to pay him. This is exactly what I said previously. He wanted the player option so he could go out and get paid more when the salary cap goes up. He really thinks he's the second coming of Jesus.

Didn't he say in all of his interviews that it's not about money? and it's all about God and whatever.

Funny thing is that would actually help the Wolves if he opted out after three years as he will be in the decline. 34 is not ancient, but 29-33 or 34 will probably have been his best years. What will follow will either be slow or fast decline so he won't be worth even the MLE at that point.
