Reports are PHX is offering John Salmons a 5 year 22 mil deal.

Anyone else going "WTF?" over this?

Well, Phoenix knows how to find young unknown talent better than anyone. The Rockets should offer him a 5 year 23 million dollar contract.

Well, when they turn Leandro Barbosa & Boris Diaw into gold it's hard to doubt their personel moves....

I'm telling you, Phoenix is the place to raise your value and NY is the place you dump them when you figure out you've overpaid them.

Does PHX know how to find talent? Or was that Colangelo? We shall see...

More like players fitting into D'antonis system and Nash making everyone look better than they really are.

He'll seem alot better playing along side of Nash. That's why he is the MVP, he turns scrubs into near allstars.

I think D'antoni's system makes everyone look better than they really are -- including Nash.

This reminds me of the Raja Bell signing. One dimensional offensive player, but good defender and athlete. I wouldn't bet against Phoenix right now.

Salmons has very good ballhandling abilities, he was pegged as a potential point guard coming out of college. They probably like his athleticism and versatility.

I imagine they'll get Al Harrington. That's a brilliant move by Indiana.

Salmons needs a lot of polish and disclipline to his game, but he isn't a scrub. $4.5 mil a year might be a little much, but he's a pretty skilled young player. Needs defense, muscle and consistency in his jumper.
