The new trailer for the VI and final movie in the franchise is out, and I must admit looks quite good. THIS is what Rocky V should have been. It looks like a fitting ending to the series. I'm gettin excited. http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1445131&sdm=web&qtw=640&qth=400 There's just something about seeing Rocky, seeing him in the ring and hearing the music that just does it for me.
I think he's the one on the left. Or is that Mr. Bojangles? I get them mixed up. Seriously, the 1st 3 were great, the 4th was OK, but the 5th was JUST HORRIBLE. The trend seems to indicate this will be a huge stinker.
Don't be so sure it's the last in the series. They replaced Christopher Reeve; Stallone could be next. Rocky rules, I can't wait.
Eh, the whole plot of it seems kinda dumb. It could be alright. I really liked the others, so it wouldn't be a stretch if I ended up liking this one, too.
Everything looks sharp in the the trailer, it got me pumped up too, just a bit unrealistic... but hey, didn't Foreman win the heavyweight title when he was old too?
Pretty much sums up what I was going to say. That trailer didn't do anythign for me. The begining of it with the song got me a bit pumped up. Then I saw the ESPN tie in and the stupid simulation....and then the senior citizen who stars in the film. The only one I really liked was that one against that russian dude..... I never really watched this series, so I have no idea which one it was.
you're amazing...i thought my wife and i were the only freaks who loved that sketch. when we come home sometimes my dog starts jumping around like an idiot and my wife sings the little, "DOG SHOW!" song from that sketch. classic.
Wow. I don't know what to say. I loved watching Rocky movies when I was younger but the last one was horrendous. This looks really cheesy but I admit that I'll probably still watch it just because I've seen the other 5.
I already bought the complete Rocky Box Set, blow me Sly. Looks like Rock got some brain cells back miraculously though, in V he was dumb as a box of rocks, in this trailer he is intelligible and dare I say articulate, all while speaking English nonetheless.
I actually I think that's what happens. He's not supposed to win, it's more of a sense to prove that he still has it, that he's still somebody. In the movie he basically has lost everything that is dear to him (Adrian's dead, son is estranged, glory days long gone) except for Pauly. I'd say that'd be a little more realistic, either that or he dies in the ring.
Nobody ever watched the Rocky movies because the were realistic. They were all over dramatic stretches --- that's what made them good. I loved every last sappy bit of each of them and anticipate the same with the new one.
Rocky is gonna win the fight in this movie. He's gonna give it everything he's got, but as they celebrate he collapses and dies. That's what I think will happen.
