Yay we won but damn Lucas is really lookin good! Novak had a bad shooting night with only 5 fouls . Carrol with an off night too. Baxter had 10 boards with 8 fouls. Hayes had only 8 rebounds but 10 points
Don't be surprised if Matt Haryasz of Stanford get a camp invite. He is a big body who can play power forward and center. He can shoot and is tough. Also a good shot blocker.
Good point, he will probably only see limited minutes at first (similar to Padgett or Bullard) until he improves his defense. Of course, he will likely stay in the game as long as he is draining 3's.
I doubt that Novak will ever be able to guard NBA-caliber wingmen. He should probably concentrate on putting on some muscle to play power forward.
Looks like there is a couple good prospects. Kinda worried about Lucas, he has easily been our best player in the summer league but he would probably see limited PT during the regular season. Would love to see how he develops...
Do we know who f***ed who or is that still to be determined, when either Battier misses a critical shot in the playoffs and gets Gundy fired, or Gundy decides to go older and shorter and trades Battier to the Knicks?
Looks to me like Hayes had 19 rebounds not 10. DAMN but they also say he had 6 defensive rebounds and 4 offensive rebounds which is 10. I think that was a typo.
If it happens within the 1st 10 games. . . he will not see the court to after the all star break Rocket River
or 25 total rebs if you add the off and def rebs numbers. the original box score that was uploaded had hayes with 10 total rebs.
The recap says Chuck got 10 rebounds, not 19. 19 rebounds in 40 minutes would be almost impossible. Also comparing the number of rebounds for both teams to the number of missed shots, I don't see where those extra 9 rebounds would have come from. The recap also says both Lucas and Haryasz made crucial plays down the stretch with clutch free throws and a block: I hope Haryasz (that's not pronounced "hairy ass" is it?) get invited to the Rockets camp also. He's got the height to be that 4/5 back up if he can put some more weight on.
