She was a well connected, politically influential first lady. If her husband and brother swindled some free cash it is relevant. If her brother (without her knowledge) use some leverage based upon who he was to swindle some cash then it shouldn't affect her --- but it does deserve some looking into.

the other thing I don't get, maybe i misunderstand, is what does his filing bankruptcy have to do with anything. obviously the creditor wants its money back and has forced this guy into bankruptcy, happens all the time. its that scandalous. oh I forgot this is a blog.
