Yao and USA Team

I would not be happy unless it was that precise moment and scenario that propelled Yao to total stardom and domination of the NBA. In which case then I would be happy because that means championships for the Rockets, which is more important to me. After the last two world showings for our team I'm pretty blah about our national team. The Rockets on the other hand is my team and the one I'm passionate about.

 

No need to dream yao can never be good enough to beat all the usa players by himself! The U.S. will never lose again at least the next 20 olympics! We all know that we are the better team and now we are committed to winning every year!

 

First of all Team USA is merely a shadow of its former self. If we still hold this team up to the rest of the world we find that the world may actually be playing a game more suited for these type of tournaments.

 

That would be the best day ever. Unfortunately, I can't imagine such an event occuring because outside of Yao the talent level on the Chinese team is far too low to compete with the US.

 

We, chinese people, are good at basketball and we aren't afraid of the dream team.

 

I'd be proud of Yao and glad that he's a Rocket.

 

Depends on if the U.S.A. team has a Rocket. Unless they have McGrady, I root for the team with the current Rocket.

But Team USA can't be considered dominate anymore simply b/c the players DONT SHOOT WELL. And the foreign game, unlike the nba, doesnt bail perimeter players with the no hand check rule!

 

No, T-Mac is not on the team, but Battier is.

 

Yao is good and all, but Wilt Chamberlain couldn't have carried that Chinese team over Team USA. Their 2nd best player is Wang Zhizhi. Yes, that Wang Zhizhi.

Team USA, a.k.a. Shane Battier and his supporting cast, just has too much talent.

 

If the Chinese are so good at basketball, then why do they never medal?


And this isn't a "Dream Team." There is only one Dream Team, and that is the one that played in Barcelona in 1992.

 

I believe shane battier is on the team.... and mcgrady declined the invitation

I root for Team USA.

I'd be happy for Yao as an individual, but would rather the USA win.

He seems like such a great guy though and I'm sure he will do a great job representing his country in the Olympics in 2008. Just hope USA beats them

 

Probably only happens after Yao retires as a player and be a coach instead

 

It is ture that basketball become very popular because NBA stars such as MJ kobe especially Yao ming. But it's really hard to think that yao's team can beat USA Team . You know it has too much talents .
