I was reading through an old thread from a few days ago that I had not read. What kind of lottery are we talking about? I don't know that we should have one this year because the sucky teams need the high picks. As for the future, I was just wondering if we're talking about a lottery like the NBA does or one where every team has equal shot. If everyone has equal shot then we might as well not even have a common draft. That draft is supposed to help the bad teams. I'm sure there are teams in the NBA who tank like the Hawks just sitting our Ratliff after they traded for him, so might as well allow it so long as it's not blatant. Though I see no reason to tank when there will be no rookie draft and the common draft is only a teams 4th best or worst. I'll suck again next year, and I wouldn't really mind a lottery as long as it's NBA style. We could even do that for the rookie draft this year since that's how the real rookie draft is. ------------------
We will not have a lottery this year, because the bad teams do need the high picks. However, to make it more realistic and like the NBA, we will do so in coming seasons, and it will be NBA style-- it will be weighted toward lower teams. ------------------ "Basketball players win basketball games.
