Okay with pietrus clearly not a player the Warriors covet would we be willing to give up next years first top 10 protected or Luther to snag pietrus! He has much better size than luther and he can slash given the right minutes he could be a beast! He and luther are the same age and he has more Nba expeirence! He may not be the dead eye 3pt threat Head can be but he makes up for it with his physicality and D! Now if we could swing and deal for the next years first i would be exstatic because he will certainly be better than a player we get outside the top 10!

I wasn't aware that he was "on the block". The Warriors would have to be crazy to let that kid go. Kid's got a lot of upside, and he's already a decent NBA player.

He probably isn't. In fact, the Warrior's desire to extend Pietrus could be one of the reasons why they traded Fisher.

I live in the bay area and i've seen almost every Warrior game and I really like pietrus but he is inconsistent as hell. He can score 20 in a game and go scoreless in the next. He has nice size and defense but he is a bit foul prone. He has excellent athleticism but doesn't use it as a strength as he settles for the three too much. He's pretty consistent from the corner of the three point line but anywher else is a mystery. One thing that I hate about him is that he shows loww basketball IQ. He trys to be a star in the game instead of a role player, will try a fancy pass which results in a turnover. Even though he has alot of negatives I bleieve he is being used wrong and could be a valuable asset to this team.

To be honest, he's not as good as some on this board seem to think, and I believe that Luther will probably be better than most on this board believe. I think a lot of posters here remember a game a few years ago when Pietrus had a great game against us and gave Stevie absolute fits defensively.

There are some questions about Pietrus' attitude and maturity. He might not be a great fit on this team.

Sorry to post so much on my own thread but i would like to say thanks for the info and also add that in the Fisher trade the warriors accquired 2 sg's that could be cause for excitment if you like the idea of him coming here!

I live here in Monterey Ca, and listen to the local radio station all day long. Trust me, from what Rick Barry says about the kid we do not want him. He's a decent defender, but makes horrible decisions with the basketball. The last thing we need to do is bring in a guy who makes bad decisions with the basketball hasn't that plagued us since oh about the Pippen leg dribble? He's a decent player, but its true that the WARRIORS are probably looking to move him. Just MHO, but avoid him... certainly don't give up someone who can shoot the 3 and has decent upside himself.
